(Actually only about 8758 hours left)

Assuming 7 hours recommended sleep per night (2555 hrs per annum) leaves about 6200 hours.

Work: a minimum of 1938 hours plus 488 hours travelling (or waiting to travel!!) to and from work, leaves about 3780 hours.

In the bathroom (Avoiding any further breakdown of this category!) minimum 242 hours.

That leaves about 3500 hours, which sounds like a lot - average about 10 hours per day, which means I should have plenty of time for exercise,DIY,helping others, and being an all round good chap, but somehow after I've done a bit of TV viewing, surfing the internet (including ED forum),visiting the pub/off licence and generally lounging around, I never seem to have any time to spare! How about you???

You have not even mentioned kids...they take up a lot of time, so be prepared.

Yes Mick Mac,kids require a lot of time, fortunately we've only the grandchildren to take up some of our time nowadays and,of course, you can generally give 'em back to the parents whenever you feel like it (although they certainly seem to get a good share of our money)!!
I see - as you have been through it all before I'd have thought you would feel you had a lot of time now. That's what I#m looking forward to in 20 years time! Maybe it does not work that way - with whatever we have on our plate we never seem to have enough time.

    • Ha ha that's hilarious - how wonderfully embarrassing for Reform!
    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
