Another recommendation for Hamish of A Cut Above - As well as being a very nice chap to deal with, he is very knowledgable on trees (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I have had other established TSs work on my trees, who have failed to identify them), and his work is excellent, and he is great on advice. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Another recommendation for Christian from Respect Your Elders (07508 621861).

As a tree owner within the area covered by the Dulwich Estate I had always erroneously believed that all approved tree works had to be carried out by one of the the handful of tree surgeons on their recommended list and that no others were sanctioned.

After many years, on closer examination of the Estate's website, I discovered that the list really was only a recommendation and not obligatory.

Christian came highly recommended and, having always used the "Estate List" in the past I was entirely delighted by his extremely competitive estimate, which accurately reflected the final cost. He came on time with a delightful team, finished the work under the estimated time and performed an immaculate clear up. Both my neighbour and I are absolutely thrilled with the results. We had believed that sky was a myth - now we are experiencing it!

It is clear they are recommended tree surgeons, and the most trustworthy is John Welton, who loves trees and does a great job. You still have to get permission from the tree man from the Estate, Mr George, he is the problem because he knows less about trees than you might think from his title!

    • I've looked up previous media coverage and gather that the school warned pupils of the risk of police 'fines' for assembly under the extant Covid regulations.  Don't you think they might have felt it a duty, to both pupils and parents, to do so?
    • I'm glad that Barry's have posted.  Their mention of the merger soon led me to (a) bushy-tailed  PR guff about the new member joining the inpost 'family' and promising a bright happy world of lockers etc ahead. and (b) clear signs that the same problems related here seem to have been current and widespread even three months ago.  That's just from looking at one thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/vinted/comments/1nlv3u2/yodelinpost_merger_issues/
    • @first mate not aware of any either. Found this relating to 23-24..  https://services.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-creates/funding/cultural-celebrations-fund?chapter=4
    • Do we still get 50+ outdoor community events per year? All the ones round here seem to have been cancelled, like the Christmas Cracker and the summer equivalent and the Small Business Saturday event etc.  Even on the Southwark Presents page the only events in East Dulwich in the foreseeable future are non-council events organised by other people. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-presents?event_price=All&localgov_event_locality[0]=239&date_min=&date_max=&search=&page=2
