I?m wanting to set up a fundraising group/committee in Dulwich for Oxfam and am currently looking for a Group Leader.

Oxfam?s fundraising groups are a team of volunteers who work together to raise vital funds for Oxfam?s work in fighting to alleviate poverty and suffering worldwide.

As an Oxfam group leader, you will be a key member of the Oxfam team both locally and nationally, and will have a real impact on Oxfam?s work.

Your fundraising activities can be anything and everything - ranging from dress down days and cake sales, to gala dinners and sponsored walks. It?s entirely up to you; and I will be on hand to offer help and advice every step of the way.

The key components of the role include:

? Raising funds in your local area to support the work of Oxfam in alleviating poverty and suffering worldwide

? Recruiting friends, family and colleagues, or likeminded individuals in your community, to join your group

? Lead and project manage your fundraising activities, including delegating key roles and responsibilities to everyone in your group

? Manage and motivate your group to deliver the fundraising activities

? Encourage people within your local community to support Oxfam and your group

If you would like to be involved please get in touch on 0207-802-9995, [email protected] or reply to the thread.

Best wishes all for a happy new year!

Kizzy

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
