Cat B&B: Indoor Boarding for Cats Whilst You're Away

Hello fellow cat owners,

My partner and I are about to move into a 2 bed, 3 balcony flat in Deptford/Greenwich and have decided to offer a cat minding service. We came up with the idea whilst being between two properties ourselves last year with our own cat (who has now sadly passed) and faced the hard task of finding an affordable/suitable environment for him, we have previously used a 'cat b&b' which cost us an arm and a leg.

We will not be getting another cat of our own as we feel it's not fair without a garden, however we would enjoy looking after other's cats for short periods of time. We understand crossovers of different owner's cats may not be viable so would offer this on a first come first serve basis.

The flat is perfect for an indoor cat, it has two small balconies which have wooden slats from top to bottom which they could not escape from, the third balcony is a roof top balcony so access is prohibited. We also have a downstairs toilet which will be a litter tray room.

Both my partner and I are very fond of cats, we have just returned from Malaysia where we lived for two years and set up a similar cat-sitting service to expats in our area.

This would suit owners who:

- are having work done to their house which involves them having to leave home

- are going away and unable to find an in-house sitter

- cats are too young to be left alone

- in between homes

At this stage we are trying to gauge interest and potentially take some bookings as of end of March.

We will of course welcome you to meet us and view the flat.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
