LauraHW
Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to receive results of heel prick test for newborn? I seem to remember them saying 6 weeks but am presuming / hoping if there's a problem they let you know sooner? Many thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/94994-heel-prick-test/ Share on other sites
Sonners
We've not had ours back yet and my little girl will be 7 weeks on Monday. I seem to remember getting the results around 8 weeks with our older daughter. I'm not sure if they let you know sooner if there are problems. stacker285
You only get results if there is a problem and if there is a positive result you will be contacted asap as early treatment of problems can prevent later issues and outcome. Any problems and you would be called to the Evelina asap. beck
The results will get sent to your Health Visitor and also be uploaded onto any electronic health records - you won't hear anything unless there is a problem, if you need confimration of normal results then your Health Visitor should be able to get this for you Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/94994-heel-prick-test/#findComment-970009 Share on other sites
