Suzie33
Hi, Does anyone know much about childcare vouchers you get through work and OFSTED? I am looking to get a Nanny but am finding quite a few Nannies are not OFSTED registered. Does this mean I can't pay them using the childcare vouchers I am planning to use? If they become OFSTED registered, does it effect their take home pay / tax / NI? Many thanks to anyone than can help! littleEDfamily
Yep, they need to be Ofsted registered to get paid via Childcare Vouchers. You may well be able to get them registered, though (they'll probably expect you to cover the charge which is around ?100 I think). It won't impact how much they get paid at all, but paying by Childcare Vouchers will reduce your childcare bill as you'll be paying a portion of their salary from your gross rather than net salary. littleEDfamily
PS If I were paying to get a nanny registered, I would write something into their contract saying that if they choose to leave in the first year, you'll take the registration charge off their final pay. Moflo
Your other course of action is to have a childminder,as they have to be OFSTED registered. If you need any info on that let me know. 07803881087Mx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9575-childcare-vouchers-and-ofsted/#findComment-289392 Share on other sites
