Whilst we have had our recycling boxes/bag emptied this year (Worlingham Rd) ... we have not yet had our green rubbish bins done. (Common problem to many houses in the street, judging from the multiple overflowing bins.)

Accepting that our scheduled day is Wednesday & the last two have been snowy .... Well at least for the mornings .... does anybody have any info about when the re-scheduled collection is due, or are there no plans & we are simply waiting & for this Wednesday & hoping the weather is ok?

I spoke to the council as ours had not been emptied for ages and the bin lorry came past, collect some from the street but not all. They said they would recollect in a few days, I said that was not good enough and they were emptied that day. THey are days behind on their collections but said things were getting back to normal.

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️

    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
