Fantastic VW Golf S 1.4 for sale

I am selling my very comfortable, very economical and very reliable VW Golf. Its a 2007 1.4 S 80 5dr (AC) model, with a 16V engine with MPFI that allows smaller engines to give maximum power so it still drives like a good old golf should. It also doesn't put you in an eye-watering insurance bracket and is very fuel-efficient.

The Spec:

Full Service History And 2 Remote Keys

Only 43,500 miles

Brand New Full Set Of Brakes At Last Service (Jan16),

Air-Con

Electric Windows

Remote Central Locking

Radio-C/D Player

Power Steering

Mot To May 16

Electric Mirrors

ABS

Traction Control

Drivers Airbag, Passenger Airbag

Exceptionally Clean Car Throughout

Very Economical Car

Cheap Insurance

Superb Value

The Best Bit: The engine has only done 43K miles since new! And it feels like it. Near silent running; starts first time in any weather; never any surprises at service/MOT time. Solid and reliable on those long journeys where you need to feel that the least of your worries is the car breaking down!

The not so best bit: Annoyingly, once when I was parked in Sainsbury's DKH, I returned to my car to find some 'shopper' had kindly scratched one side of the wheel arch (and driven off). I'm told it?s only light and can be repaired very easily (if I only had the time I'd do it myself, it?s that easy!) There is also a slight warp (see pic 'VW_rear') on the right side rear edging (my local garage - the ever brilliant Dundalk in Brockley btw - says it can easily be heat-synced for ?80, again when I've got time eh?)

So, excellent VW Golf with full service history, new brakes, low mileage (43K) and very economical fuel consumption, but with light bodywork needed to the rear...

...hence, the price at ?3300 ono (i've dropped it a bit in lieu of the bodywork attention.)

PM me if you're interested. I'd like this to go asap so I'm in the mood to listen to sensible offers but please bear in mind that I've dropped the price by ?695 already.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
