Sanne Panne
How dare they throw you out with such short notice! We will be letting our first floor 1 bed flat soon so that's of no use to you but I wanted to wish you good luck with your search. iaineasy
we moved in on a six month contract on the understanding that it would be renewed for a year however the landlady now wants to sell up and told us that the letting agent(pedder wates) knew that from the start, when we moved in I insisited that we would need a year as Anna was pregnant and we would not like to move with a tiny baby, but the landlord wanted six months ,we were told, as her last tennants were rubbish so she needed a trial period, now we have been model tennants and she wants to sell up and move back to Nigeria, whata croc of rubbish ,so if anyone knows of places in dulwich let us know,we desperately want to stay in the area!! candj
What a**holes your landlords are. How can anyone just chuck someone out with a new baby. Sorry to state the obvious and not to be more helpful but have heard good things about both Daisy Lets and Property In (who we bought our home from) who also do rentals. Very best of luck to you three. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9703-help-freindly-forumites/#findComment-289439 Share on other sites
Keef
To be fair to the landlords, it sounds more like the agency, and she does kind of have a right to do what she wants, especially if moving overseas.Aaaanyway, sorry Ian, it's a crappy situation for you. May I suggest you have a look at Forest Hill / Sydenham areas too. They're close enough to get all the benefits of Dulwich when you want them, but there are more trees and parks, and you'll get more flat for your money.
