Children's Easter Radio Drama Making Workshop at Village Books - Sunday 10th April

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

On Sunday 10th April, WordPlay are running two radio drama making workshops for children aged 8-13 to script their own radio plays in groups, inspired by a range of 'challenge items'. They then broadcast live on air in our pop-up studio which will be set up in Village Books. After scripting the short radio drama, each team will experiment with Foley sounds, learning how to turn everyday objects into radio 4 worthy dramas!

All audio masterpieces are live but we also record the lot to be listened to over and over again on our website:

There will be two radio workshops on Sunday 10th April:

Or

2pm - 4pm

Light refreshments will be included in each workshop!

Tickets cost ?12.50 per child - pop in to the bookstore before 10th April to reserve your spot & grab your ticket.

If you would like any more information, please feel free to email us on [email protected] or email Village Books directly on [email protected]

We look forward to seeing (and hearing) you there!

All the best,

Zoe & Leon

If you fancy having a listen to some radio dramas made by both children and adults in previous workshops, check out our 'listen again' feature on our website: http://www.wordplayeducation.co.uk/hear-the-plays/

... and here's a picture of Leon with very young WordPlayers experimenting with sound effects!

    • Twenty plus years ago, the centre of Croydon was a fine place to work in, sadly times have changed, the Whitgift centre has gradually fallen to its knees, lots of shop closures and unlikely to be redeveloped given Croydon Councils financial situation.  Always preferred Croydon to Bromley and rarely go to either.

Looking to adjust the neckline, so need someone who can support altering of design, as well as adjusting general measurements. Any recommendations are so appreciated, thanks! x
