sophiesofa
I thought he was really nice, don't get me wrong he would p**s me right off but they work as a couple which is what counts.I hope this programme never ends - it's the best thing on tv at the mo. Belle
I did think that they were the first couple who've seemed (just at the start - not later on) really aware of the cameras. I was amazed at her labour - thought she was really quite early on then suddenly she said she wanted to push! wow. I know they edit etc but still. I think they should do a follow up l ike the Seven Up series in years to come where they revisit the families and we see the kids growing up. Ann
I would agree with craigy's post. He's a young man and where do we prepare our young men for childbirth and parenting? sillywoman
Errr NCT classes are a start (quick shameless plug!).:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9931-is-anyone-watching-one-born-every-minute-on-c4/page/7/#findComment-307526 Share on other sites
malleymoo
I found it really funny when the young man was confessing his undying love over and over whilst his partner had her head almost completly in a vomit bowl! She didnt look like she cared less at that point!he did look rather stricken a bit later when she was finding the pain less manageable . Ann
sillywoman Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Errr NCT classes are a start (quick shameless> plug!).:)Good point Sillywoman, but do many of his age attend NCT? Not meant as a criticism to the NCT or him. I felt he did the best he could. It's easy to forget that only a generation away men were not present on the delivery room; they don't exactly have role models as such.Women? Well they've kind of never had much of a choice as participant;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9931-is-anyone-watching-one-born-every-minute-on-c4/page/7/#findComment-307560 Share on other sites
Smiler
OMG how upsetting was today's episode? :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9931-is-anyone-watching-one-born-every-minute-on-c4/page/7/#findComment-308968 Share on other sites
Ann
Yes, you can't help but worry about poor William. I wanted them to say at the end he's finally gone home but in effect, the poor little mite had outgrown the Neonatal Unit. Can't imagine at all what it can be like for those parents but once again I think the production team have done a great job. Yorkie
I was crying before the opening credits had even finished, Emma was amazing and hurrah for Izzie. What a powerful programme this is. Smiler
It was so emotional and couldn't even imagine the parents' prolongued stress, not knowing what would happen but having to keep going - and look after the other children - every day. My Mum is a retired paediatric physiotherapist and worked on a neonatal unit for some of her time, and did the lung-clearing treatments on the tiny / struggling babies etc. Thought I had some understanding of the ups-and-downs and uncertainties of it, but the programme really brought it home. I hope that they provide a future update on little William. The Nappy Lady
It was amazing, the will to survive that those tiny prem babies display never ceases to amaze me, they face such huge battles.Poor little William, when they showed him at 8 months still tubed up etc. and in an incubator I felt so upset, thinking of my two at that age and all they were already getting up to. Poor little man, I do hope things work out for him.I'm really glad they decided to do something a bit different this week, though it was very emotional viewing.Molly Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9931-is-anyone-watching-one-born-every-minute-on-c4/page/7/#findComment-308973 Share on other sites
