Excellent floor sanding service

After being badly stuffed around by a floor sanding company which came well recommended here (not Back2Wood I hasten to add!, I was very pleased to discover the team at Floor Sanding and Restoration.

Steve attended promptly to provide me with a quote for sanding, staining and varnishing and, unlike the aforementioned company and others I have spoken with, was happy to give me an estimate for repairs. He didn't attempt to upsell and his quote was reasonable in comparison with his competitors.

His team did a great job, including keeping me well informed of progress and doing their best to minimise dust. The original wood caused a few issues with some substance leaching and they did a great job in dealing with it. The after sales service was great.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! http://www.floorsandingandrestoration.com/

I would also recommend them. They did an AMAZING job of our upstairs, the floors look stunning and the stairs look amazing. They were lovely to have in the house, even brought their own tea and milk and were so tidy and friendly. The floors look so amazing and they were more like craftsmen than just floor sanders, they really cared and gave great advice. Can't recommend them enough.

Another recommendation for Floor Sanding and Restoration. David and his two associates have just completed our dining room floor, our stairs and landing. The result is fantastic. Our dining room floors were in a terrible mess. They replaced April half the boards, cut out the old concrete and we can't tell the replacement boards at all, a great match. We will book them again to do our upstairs bedroom.

And another recommendation for Floor Sanding and Restoration. From our contact with Elena to David's prompt quotation and excellent advice to Jo's efficient and excellent work, we were very satisfied. This was a small job, involving screwing down and replacing a couple of loose boards in advance of carpeting. David fitted us in at short notice for a resonable price. We'll be using Floor Sanding and Restoration again.

    • Have you tried buying or selling second hand baby or kids gear? You can find great products at a bargain price, but it can be frustrating. Tracking down the right product takes a lot of work, items rarely come as advertised and delivery options are limited. We’re talking 2 hour round trips to pick-up that perfect Bugaboo stroller, which turned out to be missing a wheel!   And what about reselling? Our kids outgrow everything so fast and the cupboards fill up with clutter that we’re not using anymore. Listing second hand items for sale is a lot of effort, it takes time and you often don’t get a fair price at the end of it.   We’re parents in Dulwich who decided to create a better way to buy and sell second hand baby and kids gear online.  Our marketplace www.rekiddle.com is launching this Summer. Join our waitlist on the website for early access, earn rewards and please give us some feedback. We'd love to hear what you think. Natalie and Chris
    • Some new places opening soon on Rye Lane: Cafe Britaly - a 'British Italian' cafe opening next week (8th May). Its situated near the south of Rye Lane, near Four Quarters in the venue which was formally Taco Queen and Supa Ya Ramen. https://cafebritaly.com/   There appears to be a Vietnamese cafe under works a few doors along next to Woodfall Opticians, according to a sign in the window, however I couldn't find an opening date or any info about it online
    • I haven't read the rest of this thread - I kept well away - but I'm delighted that Sadiq Khan has won. Susan Hall would have been an absolute disaster for London, as thankfully the vast majority of voters recognised.
    • Camberwell Green, but only if in that direction anyway, I wouldn't make a special trip unless it was Christmas (Lebkuchen! Big bags! Very cheap!) I sometimes went to the Peckham Lidl in the days before ULEZ, but my car isn't compliant so it wouldn't be worth a trip unless I was using the car for something else, and it's a pain on the bus as there's no direct route.
