Pair of drunks begging outside Londis this evening..

Anyone have the pleasure of being asked for cash by the male and female drunks outside Londis this evening - I watched them for a while and they were fairly intimidating to anyone who passed them by and even threatened one guy. They were fairly well dressed and quite young, but generally a pain in the a**e. They also worked their way up and down the outside tables of The Palmerston

No doubt someone will be on saying that they are just trying to scrape a living, but for me, they should have been moved on.

Thought I'd tag it on this thread rather creating another one... but same kinda thing

Just had to dash down Lordship Lane and there is a toddler helping a woman sell copies of the Big Issue.. the poor kid is tucked up in it's pushchair on the edge of the curb at the mercy of the road. I think that is a hell of a lot more shocking than aggressive beggars. I can just about understand the woman being outside Somerfield trying to make some money but surely a young child should not be exposed to this act.

Was it a Bugaboo? It's the only pushchair suitable for the modern, urban, homeless environment?

Shocking that the Big Issue vendor doesn't cough up for some decent private childcare - what on earth is she thinking?!

Horsebox. I have always wanted a Bugaboo. I have always thought that it was missing from my life. So my wife is now pregnant. People ask me if I want a boy or a girl. I say all I wanted was a Bugaboo. Can't be cool in ED without one.

    • Have you tried buying or selling second hand baby or kids gear? You can find great products at a bargain price, but it can be frustrating. Tracking down the right product takes a lot of work, items rarely come as advertised and delivery options are limited. We’re talking 2 hour round trips to pick-up that perfect Bugaboo stroller, which turned out to be missing a wheel!   And what about reselling? Our kids outgrow everything so fast and the cupboards fill up with clutter that we’re not using anymore. Listing second hand items for sale is a lot of effort, it takes time and you often don’t get a fair price at the end of it.   We’re parents in Dulwich who decided to create a better way to buy and sell second hand baby and kids gear online.  Our marketplace www.rekiddle.com is launching this Summer. Join our waitlist on the website for early access, earn rewards and please give us some feedback. We'd love to hear what you think. Natalie and Chris
    • Some new places opening soon on Rye Lane: Cafe Britaly - a 'British Italian' cafe opening next week (8th May). Its situated near the south of Rye Lane, near Four Quarters in the venue which was formally Taco Queen and Supa Ya Ramen. https://cafebritaly.com/   There appears to be a Vietnamese cafe under works a few doors along next to Woodfall Opticians, according to a sign in the window, however I couldn't find an opening date or any info about it online
    • I haven't read the rest of this thread - I kept well away - but I'm delighted that Sadiq Khan has won. Susan Hall would have been an absolute disaster for London, as thankfully the vast majority of voters recognised.
    • Camberwell Green, but only if in that direction anyway, I wouldn't make a special trip unless it was Christmas (Lebkuchen! Big bags! Very cheap!) I sometimes went to the Peckham Lidl in the days before ULEZ, but my car isn't compliant so it wouldn't be worth a trip unless I was using the car for something else, and it's a pain on the bus as there's no direct route.
