ED to Harringay avoiding congestion zone?

Sue

Recommended Posts

I need to drive to Harringay (in Haringey :) ) tomorrow during the day.

Looking at a map, seems like I could do Elephant, New Kent Road, over Tower Bridge, up Commercial Street, Great Eastern Street, City Road then Upper Street. Then easy from there.

Are there any traps like one-way-systems on this route which might take me into the congestion zone by mistake?

Its a bit close around Tower Bridge area.

I would go Camberwell, Vauxhall Bridge Road, Victoria, Park Lane, Edgware Road, turn rightish and head for Camden.

But I would also double-check that that's still congestion charge free before I set off. Just because I did it like that a while ago doesn't mean to say the boundaries haven't changed since then.

Yes, I go to Oxford via Victoria on weekdays, all the places you mention are out of the congestion zone provided you stick to the correct route.

Just not sure how to get to Camden from the Edgware Road :-$ and then from there to Harringey :-$

Will consult a map - thanks!

I use the route you mention first quite a bit during the day and it's fine, just follow the one way system off the bridge onto Mansell St, onto Whitechappel then Commercial Street. It's fairly straight forward, the bulk of the traffic tends to go the same way to avoid the zone.
