East Dulwich station bus stop

Anyone know why the bus stop outside East Dulwich station has been moved? There's no sign of any road works.

Right by the bus stop sign there is some block paving and its come loose again so i assume its that... they never seem to fix it properly, it was closed for a while after the snow as well.

This bus stop is still closed and no sign of any work going on to fix it. Grrrr.

Is it really much of a bother to walk a little bit further to or from the Bus Stop?

There is a positive of having the bus stop moved to outside the park - it doesn't hold the traffic up as by the park the road is wide enough for cars to get past unlike the bus stop by the station.

Obviously the down fall of this is the extra 30 second walk to the station :)

I agree. It's a bottleneck when two buses pull up, and some drivers/cyclists take it upon themselves to overtake on the pelican crossing.

There is actually a bus shelter (for what it's worth) outside the station though - a small advantage in inclement weather.

The regular bus stop is more overlooked with lots of passive surveillance ie. safer.

You mean CCTV? Not safer then, just taped for later viewing.
