Wanted for a social enterprise: Kallax shelving, white shelving, kitchen tap

Recommended Posts

We're setting up a social enterprise in Peckham Rye, and need to kit out our premises. We'd like to use as many repurposed/reused/upcycled materials/furniture as possible, in line with our overall sustainability ethos.

People have been super kind and helpful so far and we?re really very grateful.

We're still looking for:

- a white Kallax unit, either 4x4 or 5x5 squares

- other white shelving units

- a kitchen sink tap

Please PM me if you have anything suitable (to give away or sell). Thank you!

Hi Ahappymango - our focus will be on sustainable living. We?re not quite ready yet to say more, but will do as soon as we can!

It doesn?t have to be free stuff, I said give away or sell. When asking about free stuff I had in mind if someone was already planning to throw/give away something. Our aim is to use secondhand wherever possible because it uses less resources.

Hi everyone - thanks so much indeed to those who?ve helped us so far. We really appreciate it.

We?re still looking for (either to buy, or for free if you?d give it away free anyway):

- a white Kallax unit, either 4x4 or 5x5 squares

- other white shelving units

- a large kitchen sink (max 45cm deep, but wider would be good), ideally with tap, drainage a bonus

- kitchen base units measuring 180cm wide, ideally white, ideally with worktop

Please PM if you have something suitable. Thank you!

    • We had one that projected stars and played lullabies. It was a soft toy bee with a hard plastic back. I know we used it but can’t recall how effective it was.  What was brilliant was the Lulla sleep doll which has a heart beat sound. That was a critical sleep aid for the first couple of years.
    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
