messagePet owners be aware (of traps), Dunstans Road, Forest Hill Road endattachment

My friend's cat came home in the early hours with this trap attached to his paw! Very nasty indeed and he could have been badly injured. I'm pretty sure this trap is illegal and will be seeking advice.

Quite likely he was after the rodent heading for it (or in it). But you are right. Using traps to deal with one kind of animal can injure others. So some care needs to be used when considering where to place traps.

I was just talking to a client of mine the other day about this! The way in which people choose to handle their infestations could ultimately lead to injury, poisoning or even the death of our felines. This worries me. I'm relieved to hear he's okay - just keep an eye on his walking. Make sure he's not limping & avoiding pressure; that there's no puncture wounds that could lead to infection - otherwise it'll be worth getting his paw checked over by the vets, just to be on the safe side.

Whoa. That is quite a trap! I live nearby and I know lots of us are plagued with mice at the moment. But I would never leave something like that out in the open.

Glad to hear the cat is OK.
