  5. Hi Alice, It's always horrific when this happens. The Forensic Psychology Unit, and espeially Professor Gabbert work actively and direcly with law enforcement agencies across the world, including the Met, to improve policing and interview practices through research. This is an educational event, and it's been in preparation for months. It is a fictional scenario based on an event which took place over 40 years ago. It wouldn't be practical for theatres, cinemas, actors and educators to base their event planning on unknown elements, no matter how sad they are. I'm sure you can understand this.
  6. The latest science based, immersive theatre event from local Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths, Fiona Gabbert, and the Forensic Psychology Unit. Fiona’s research has had an international impact on operational procedures via introducing evidence-based investigative interview tools and training resources to the field. NCPD: Murder Investigation - An evening of detective work, drinks... and donuts! The 80’s called and there’s been a murder… City Hall is screaming for suspects. The hotshot trainees of Detective Squad at New Cross Police Department (NCPD) are the only ones left to solve the case. Donuts will be provided. TICKETS HERE: http://https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ncpd-murder-investigation-tickets-530511422947?aff=ebdssbdestsearch We need you; the A-Team, to be at the scene of the crime on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th March, or Friday 10th March from 19:00 – 22:00 hrs (7 - 10pm). This is what you joined up for! Time-travel back to the 80s and solve a murder that baffled the pros. An immersive science-theatre event combining the best creative and research talent Goldsmiths has to offer! All we need now is you, and your legendary crime-fighting ability! On arrival you’ll be briefed by NCPD Chief of Police, who will provide you with everything you need for the evening. Gather evidence by exploring crime scenes and interrogating key witnesses, recording evidence in your police notebook as you go. We need the name of your prime suspect by end of shift! Before heading home, you’ll be asked to report back to the future to receive 21st Century scientific feedback on your sleuthing skills. Brought to you by Goldsmiths' award-winning Forensic Psychology Unit (FPU) in collaboration with the Department of Theatre and Performance. https://www.youtube.com/@GoldsmithsUoL/videos As with all prior FPU events, your evening will be packed with real psychological research! With results coming in live via fax at the end of the night. It promises to be an entertaining and informative night, blending the arts and science with just a touch of Old Spice, Babycham, polyester, piano ties, and 80s hits. Dress code: Roll up the sleeves of your mac, back-comb your barnet, and shake those shoulder pads - come along as your favourite detective, crime-fighting duo, or renegade cop with a disregard for authority. 80s dress is encouraged, but not compulsory. Hard and soft drinks will be available throughout the evening – card payments only. **Two free drinks for each person on first night only** http://https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ncpd-murder-investigation-tickets-530511422947?aff=ebdssbdestsearch[/b]
  7. Please tell Dulwich College that their decision to allow a real fur trader to appear again in the Dulwich College Xmas Fair is horrific and supports a barbaric industry. Phillipa London sell horrific fur coats, gillets, hats which they greenwash as coming from "natural beginings" - which in reality means a hopeless life is squalid cramped cages and death by anal electrocution, drowning or gassing. They are stall GH10 in the Great Hall. Please beware if taking children past this stand. The fur industry is universally condemed, but support from Dulwich College allows these heartless profit hungry traders to keep fur farms in business. Please boycott the fair until they agree to go FUR FREE. Email the Master Dr Spence to let him know that the use of real fur in 2022 is barbaric, outdated and doesn't align with the ethical values of Dulwich College http://[email protected]
  8. Bear is getting more chilled by the day. Vaccinations, healthcheck and neutering on Friday, then after a bit of R&R, we would LOVE to find him a forever home! Please DM me or message me on 07720 712553 if you are interested in Bear joining your family!
  9. I am a volunteer at Celia Hammond animal rescue and right now I’m fostering this beautiful boy. After being dumped by his owners in lower Sydenham, he spent over a year living in a freezing waste bin shed, and sheltering under cars during bad weather. He was being fed by a lovely local who was worried about him with winter approaching. We set to trap him, but he literally walked into the cage! He must have known! After a day scared, hiding at the back of his temporary foster crate, he’s totally come out of his shell. Purring, headbuts and cuddles within 48hrs, so he wants love and security for sure. He is being neutered, chipped and health checked on Friday, and then We will be hunting for a new home for him. He’ll need to be kept in for 8-10 weeks, but ideally he’d have an adult only home with cat flap and secure garden. Don’t know yet how he is with other cats, but he lived with a small female who was adopted separately before we managed to trap him. No info on how he is with children yet. He’s not yet on the Celia hammond website, but any info you need please text me. A home check will be required, as well as Celias adoption paperwork. *This is a formal adoption, with home check, and registration paperwork - Adoption will require a donation to cover vaccination, microchip, neutering and paperwork* Can anyone offer this beautiful bear a new home? Dm me to express an interest. Bryan
  10. A few tickets will be available on the door for tonight?s Burns Night whisky tasting! 5 incredible drama to be sampled from the length and breadth of Scotland.
  11. I went for a look yesterday but no sign of it. Checked the bushes and trees, and park across but no sign. If anyone does see it, they can call me and I'll try to get her/him checked over 07720 712553
  12. CAN YOU HELP REHOME BLUE? Blue is a rescue cat looking for an adult only home with patient owners. He has been in Celia Hammond Lewisham now for over a year. He was given up after suffering behavioural issues after being overwhelmed and overstimulated in his last home. So he needs an adult only home. A year ago, Blue was easily overstimulated with people and was possesive of his space, but the team at CHAT have worked wonders with him. He LOVES treats and head rubs, and he needs an adult home who will be aware and sensitive to his body language and give him space when he needs. But he needs a home. A year without a lifetime pal of his own is too long for the boy! He could also live a semi-outdoor life with a catflap indoors and into a shed. Please call Celia Hammond Lewisham to chat about Blue. https://www.celiahammond.org/lewisham/index.php/cats-seeking/lewisham-london/10-cats-seeking-homes/1888-blue-5

Over the past year, Laura has managed our property purchase in Kirkdale after being ED renters for years, and has just handled a remortgage on my rental property in Scotland, saving me over ?180 a month. SE4 1UY Tel: 0208 694 6545 - REHOMING ENQUIRIES ONLY --------------------- CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 SITUATION and cat adoptions. Following Government Guidance our Homing Centres are closed to visitors but we are able to rescue and rehome cats whilst following regulations. The coronavirus pandemic does mean that we have had to alter our usual homing procedures. Pre-coronavirus we would meet potential adopters in their homes (home visit) this was an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home. We have replaced a physical home visit with a video call via What'sApp or similar to provide the same advice and so that you can also show us the cat relevant areas of your home e.g garden, location of a cat flap etc. Following a successful home visit we now match cats and homes, you cannot visit cats or kittens in the rescue centre or our foster homes, instead we can provide photos and short video's of the cats and discuss them in more depth. If you wish to go ahead we deliver the cats / kittens to your home as a door step handover. Adoption paperwork is completed as far as possible in advance over the phone. You then adopt the cats or kittens on a trial adoption basis. Despite this being a new and unusual way to adopt cats we have so far found that adoptions are successful.

  20. Look, the "brand" of trap is irrelevant. The fact is, the guy has been punting these kinds of brutal "industrial" traps across residential areas for quite some time, and I'm sure this isn't the first pet that's been injured, or killed. And they are pointless. They also rely on inexperienced members of the public setting and locating them properly, which clearly hasn't worked in this instance. So no, the trap in question likely isn't his. But does he punt the same barbaric devices? Yes. Last post from me as I'm not gonna keep bumping this up. Sure you won't be able to help yourself tho.... Always nice to see a fearless (keyboard) warrior ride valiantly to a maidens aid. I'm swooning!
