You don't have to accept parcels on behalf of your neighbour and to be honest there's a million ways to get things delivered conveniently that unless you've pre-arranged it I don't think it should be the default option. Secondly she's not destroying his livelihood, he's done that himself. All he had to do was write a note chuck the parcel in the back and drive off. He's not exactly getting paid for successful deliveries is he?
  2. The internet is literally full of videos of car crashes and accidents. There's even mainstream TV shows that literally are just videos of cars crashing, remember police, camera, action? It's not a new thing. I think it's rather odd that you don't get it
  3. It's quite hard to start a twitter storm when you are lying and only have 63 followers. LMAO
  4. Weirdly the other Sunday morning I got in my car to find the contents of the glove box all over the passenger seat including the car?s removable sat nav/ media player. Guessed someone must have just tried the door and not found anything of particular value but did find it odd they didn?t take the sat nav This was on Honor Oak Road

  6. Hello, I sent you a private message Thanks, Stuart
  7. Great insight in to people's thoughts about accessibility here. You know those people who have restricted movement, wheelchair users, older people who need walking aids. But nothing like treating profit over people is there?! I think the point being raised is firstly what is the law and then clearly based on that if its obstructing the pavement then it should be moved. I don't think anyone is saying shops shouldn't be allowed to advertise or use A boards. Monica I'd like to know how you monitor all the A Boards in SE22, presumably you go out to each retailer every morning in SE22 with your tape measure and a copy of their deeds?!
  8. Hello, Is your online shop running a specific platform? There's plenty of good hosts out there but will depend on which CMS / platform you are using, level of traffic etc. If you have that info I can give you some recommendations Stuart
  9. Congratulations on the funding so far! I'm very interested in AI in terms of being able to help people with various issues and I'm wondering whether you would be willing to discuss perhaps if there may be able possibility to repurpose the tech you have created for social good? i.e. could you use the same AI to advise people the best way to get benefits or clear up their credit score so they can get better loans or the best options for moving current debt that might be more affordable etc? I'd be very interested to hear if you have an API or you think there might be a way of opening up the technology for other purposes?

Thats not > how the world works. And 0 hour contracts are > legal, change jobs or keep doing it your choice. Service industry jobs pay too low hence why they have to be subsidised by tips which again is a joke. London Living Wage should be enforced and not an option just like the minimum wage. The difference between paying rent and get paid an adequate salary and complaining about yoga classes are worlds apart and you just clearly show how ignorant you are AGAIN
  11. "Zero hours contracts have always been used as a stick to beat the Tories with....." Oh the poor old Tories, do you know what a state the country is in at the moment? Even before Brexit happened their handling of the economy has been laughable and the man responsible for it is now working 6 jobs while also taking a salary as an MP and we all idly get on and let it happen. They don't need beating with a stick, the entire "democratic" system in this country needs an overhaul and we need to stop excusing those in power and actually hold them fully accountable.

You don't like it just change jobs, or > I don't know vote for a Gov that will give you > what you want. I'm sorry what do you know about running a cinema? The fact you think it's family run shows your ignorance, have you even read the statement? They are owned by Cineworld and post profits in the tens of millions. I don't know how you can begrudge people trying to get a fair wage and fixed contracted hours like the rest of us rely on to be able to actually live. Also voting doesn't change anything does it? I didn't vote for the tories but that doesn't change the fact they are dismantling the country does it? Picturehouse have clearly poor policies when it comes to their staff and their staff should be supported. They're not asking for bonuses or hand-outs they just want to be treated fairly.
  13. DaveR you don't believe London has a higher cost of living than other places in the UK? Are you living in cloud cuckoo land?
  14. If you're after a live music photograph and have a particular band you might be interested in let me know, you can see some examples of my work here: http://www.stuartleech.com/music Thanks Stuart
  15. The law is simple if you are standing on public land you can take pictures of whatever you can see. Including police officers, private property, cars, people in cars, children playing etc etc If you are inside private premises or on private land i.e a library, train station, tube train, borough market it's at the discretion of the owners. Technically described here: http://content.met.police.uk/Site/photographyadvice
  16. The entire Thameslink service is a joke and always has been. Regardless if you're in south London commuting or in Bedford commuting. I had the mis-fortune to have to use this line for 7 years when I was at school 1997 - 2004 and then travelling from Hertfordshire to Herne Hill 2009 - 2012 and now I live in East Dulwich and sometimes have to catch the train from Denmark Hill to Farringdon and the service is still appalling. Overcrowded, also delayed and expensive. Let's hope TFL taking over some of these routes will lead to a marked improvement
  17. I believe it's training, they often end up in Dulwich Park
  18. Hi there, I'm a photographer and my partner is a ceramist and we're looking to rent some space in or around East Dulwich. We're not looking necessarily for an existing studio set up but perhaps an empty area in an office/shed/workshop or similar that might work for our needs. We both work part time so would be using the space intermittently (evenings and weekends) so just thought I'd see if anyone had some extra space they'd be willing to rent out. Thanks
  19. Do you have a digital video of the live news?
  20. There's a simple solution, you ring 101 and alert the local police station. A party generally is a one-off and the police can deal with it, if not then you can call the noise department during the day.
  21. So you know you have done the wrong thing and you are still trying to get out of it? Don't you feel ashamed that you have admitted to acting completely selfishly having parked in a bay intended for disabled users?
  22. I think another problem with this junction is the bus lane on East Dulwich Road. It's such a small pointless stretch. If cars were able to queue in 2 lanes all the way down the hill that would eradicate a lot of the problem. The bus lane benefits no one because the fact that it causes a queue back past where it is a single lane negates any benefit a bus gets when it finally reaches the bus lane.
  23. I've never seen a traffic warden "hiding in the bushes" and the point is, if you don't park there they can't fine you its as simple as that. The councils are laughing all the way to the bank because drivers in London are lazy, thoughtless and completely stupid as far as I can tell.
  24. pearl1 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If it was just about keeping the bus lane free, > then seeing the warden there would be enough to > keep people from parking - he could just move > people along or warn them they are due a fine for > parking there and point out parking restricitions > (which are not always clear whatever anyone > says!). It is obviously about revenue as they fine > rather than explain/give warning. They are always completely clear unless you can't read English. Also I don't think it is a parking wardens job to stand by parking bays and inform ignorant drivers that they can't park there. You don't get warnings because its patently obvious when you are parking illegally.
  25. Simply look at the parking restrictions before you leave your car anywhere, its common sense. Bus Lanes have different effects on traffic and buses all over London. For instance on East Dulwich Road going towards Nunhead the Bus Lane and lane markings cause more problems for cars and buses than the bus lane solves, the bus lane causes everyone to be in the right hand lane but 99% of the traffic is going straight on or left. This causes a massive tailback, to where there is only a single lane and no bus lane. This then causes buses to get stuck in the queue further back. If there was no bus lane there I think all forms of traffic would move much more freely and reduce queues. This is the same in a variety of places across London where they have put in a very small chunk of bus lane without looking at all the implications.
