  1. Well done for putting this on here woodie. I spoke to the dogs neighbour today and gave her the doglost website info. In the morning I will text my dog walker friend and she can send to everyone in her blackberry thing. I've often seen Darcey with her her owners. Bloody fireworks. They go on far too long. If it was a couple of nights, you could prepare for your dog, but you never know when people are going to let them off. We had them over here at 11pm tonight. She must have been terrified to jump a 6 foot wall:( Hurry home safely girlie. BTW she is a dark brown almost chocolate and white Spinger Spaniel.
  2. Hi all. Can anyone recommend a woodwork/DIY class? Around the area, Thanks:)-D
  3. Hi all, after 20 years of being together, my partner and I are getting married next year. Does anyone have any ideas for a venue for the reception and or wedding. Its going to be close friends and family approx 70 people:)) any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Its not a big white wedding, the cheaper the better. Thanks all(tu)

  5. Thanks peckhamrose:) I have over the last few years, been one of the volunteers who go around in my own time, after doing a full days work etc, putting up posters for FOPRP. I also leafleted Scutari Rd, Marmora Rd, Colyton Rd and Homestall Rd a few years back about the cafe. I am a doer, not someone who moans about things and does nothing about it. The FOPRP are all volunteers who also have a life, but are working hard for the community. We ALWAYS need volunteers, so allfornun, we could email you some posters in the future which you could put up for us?

  7. Does anyone know what happened to the plans for the Nunhead City Farm? Has it died a death or is it still happening?

Cor blimey! You're a bundle of laughs aren't you :-S Maybe if you contacted FOPRP to let them know that this forum exists, they could inform the forum of future consultations. The same goes for the Nunhead forum. Why shame on my dogs? Are you pizzed? How do you know I like Poodles? Are you a psychic?
  9. Boosboss, ignore the troll and keep up the good work! Its a shame when some people just sit back then complain afterwards. Its not that difficult to get involved in the local community and be part of making the difference.

Well, I don't know about the pool, but as a member of FOPRP, I remember very well putting up posters about the meetings for the new cafe. Its then up to people to read the posters and attend the meetings, of which I remember Knox Bhavan, giving very detailed presentations about the cafe. I remember at least 3 meetings that I attended where they were involved.

  13. I am on the fete committee of the FOPRP. I thought that it went particularly well. Every year we learn more and its gets better and better. We had a lovely village atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. The dog show is a definate crowd puller. The childrens activities are made very good use of. We are always open to ideas from members of the community, and volunteers. We start working on the fete just after Christmas, and its very hard work, but yesterday I looked around and was VERY proud to be a part of it. A BIG thanks to all of you who came and supported us and a BIG thanks to all of the organisers and volunteers, without whom this event would not take place.
  14. Will reply to this thread when I've calmed down :-S
