not sure how we got on to Lockerbie?! Anyhow losing my scooter isn't the end of the world but societal pressure and the laws that govern the land should condition the way we behave. If they'd have found my kids that stole my scooter that night, you can guarantee there'd be a measily ?100 fine involved... Then on Monday I got a ?120 fine for parking my car on a curb in Brixton, I had to laugh. Although in all seriousness if you believe in 'structuralism' this country is pretty screwed! Anyhow I got my scooter back and fixed it for not a lot, unlike Lockerbie! :)

Morning all, I was another victim of South London crime on Saturday. My scooter was stolen from Tyrrell Road on Saturday night. I reported to police the following day and within 2 hours they called me back saying that they had found it in the car park on Peckham Rye Common,SOuthwark community in action! It has quite a bit of damage but glad I found it. It's Vespa LX so no way of starting it without the key, just frustrated that it'll cost hard earned cash to fix! If you saw any kids rolling a scooter in the Tyrrell Road, Barry Road or Peckham Rye Common area then please let me know. When I find them, which I will (great finger prints) the damage will be worth it! Many thanks.

Well played nikki, lets make this happen. Like with many obstacles they can be overcome if the will power is there. The benefits for Camberwell and ED would be significant including house prices. Can't belive peopple have stood by for so long and not made this a real issue, its about time in London we stood up for something close to home!

quick solution = average speed camera. Those that don't drive much in London will realise how much damage speed bumbs do to a car. As a scooter rider I also realise that raod is the most dangerous in South London. Mostly due to undesirables speeding, I once asked a guy to slow down, you can imagine what his response was!

Worth taking a photo if you can next time he's around? I know off a few near Tyrrell Road.

I'm on Tyrrell also and aware of some dodgy looking guys walking down the street during the day. We're going to ensure the side door through to the garden is extra secure, asking for truoble though if your shed is within sight. Thankfully there seem to be enough residents on Tyrrell Rd who work from home etc in the day so worth keeping eyes peeled.

I say give them all stab vests, let them protect themselves at least.
