  1. Has anyone seen the film yet? What did you think of it?
  2. I tried this diet for 10 days and by the end I felt as though I had a balloon in my stomach - MOST uncomfortable! After a while I was so f**ked off at having to try and think up a reasonably desirable meal (one which didn't involve another egg, which is essentially all you end up eating btw) that I ended up eating very little during the first 'protein-only' period despite being consistently hungry. Eating half a packet of ham makes you feel like a freak and worst of all, not even full!! Needless to say, I was really peeved to have endorsed this diet, especially at the cost of giving Mnsr. Dukan a further ?6. I should have put that money towards a gym membership. Why oh why do we women buy into this crap?! These things only work if you've got a fair old bit of weight to shed in the first place (wherein the smallest changes to your diet make all the difference).
  3. Hi Busy bee, Do you do any packages?! In desperate need of a body scrub and a facial... Dermalogica would be perfect! ...Also, whereabouts are you based? :)
  4. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/house-and-home/property/squatters-rights--and-wrongs-2144131.html This makes for an interesting read, for both sides of the debate... I personally disagree with squatting in this day and age where living costs are so expensive. Don't see why you should have the choice of opting out of paying via living in someone elses, albeit empty, house who IS paying for it. But hey, thats just my POV.
  5. Are you actually rising to the bait here, forumers!? Use your noggins, chums!
  6. Quoting from The Sun is a slippery slope rahnd' these parts, squire!
  7. @Sue "However I have neither the time nor inclination to do the necessary research to back up my opinion" ....but you have the time to rip others to shreds if they can't be arsed?!
  8. > I reckon assuming and labelling people who might > not want someone living permanently in a van > outside their own house as 'daily mail' types > sounds like raising beliefs to the status of > truths where in fact they are just opinions that's > all. >:D< You tell 'em quids! Also, has anybody who has become chums with TCVM asked him why he doesn't park nearer to/on the premises of his vehicle renting site in London Bridge?! It's a good half an hour/hour drive in rush hour and strikes me as illogical... Especially if he's got to do it every day?!
  9. Just drop it Horsebox, you're probably double my age and I'm pretty certain thats where your superiority ends. At least my posts expressed an opinion, that RS had a right to be annoyed; you just joined in when you found somebody to hound. Please go away now. KK called time on this tittle tattle 4 posts ago - keep up.
  10. Resorting to personal condescension? How terribly mature of you.
  11. I've posted 5 times out of 105 posts.... So please don't chat such horse'box'. Funny how everyone jumps on the band wagon and ignores the questions posed.... Anyway, at risk of using myself as bait for an argument that I never started, I'll resign myself to cowering away with all my other bigot friends in our 'campervan' hating club. Happy?
  12. Well jheez if you are all so bloody personal about it, why don't you personally invite TCVM to come at stay at yours? Then you can feel as satisfied in your righteousness as all your posts suggest, and there will be no more van. Problem solved for everyone.... Oh no wait, you are only concerned about fighting bigotry on a messaging forum but, when it comes to it, you don't really practise the samaritanism you preach! So excuse me if I don't take your flogging all too seriously... And Willard, thank you so much for your amusing parody of my words (Chicken Kiev, eh? How presumptuous of you!) but you are lowering yourself to the 'depths' of those you are criticising.... Chastising inconsistency with inconsistency?! Anyone would think you're trolling, sir. Let's just agree to disagree, shall we? And be thankful for the anonymity of this forum... Heaven knows it wouldn't be quite the communal bliss if we all spoke of our differing POVs to each others faces over our mochalocachinos.
  13. KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- 'there's a big gulf between slagging off a complete stranger for not having the 'lifestyle' you choose and calling someone a bigot (stranger or not) who has demonstrated a classic case of, ermm, bigotry...' I presume you didn't read the part where I said that I don't have a problem with anybody elses lifestyle; 'people can live wherever and do whatever they want as far as I care (provided it its not disrupting my life)'. I was just defending RS's right to be annoyed simply because it was disrupting her life, and I'm sure The Campervan Man will agree, after an extremely disruptive party (intended or otherwise)she and other neighbours have full right to be. Anyone can see that, in hosting a party in a quiet residential area in an unknown van, TCVM has fulfilled the negative expectations of his newfound neighbours BUT at least he came on to apologise.... what more can you ask for? Especially since it provides the necessary closure for this otherwise extraordinarily tedious thread.
  14. If it pleases you then, yes, I am a bigot and I'll probably carry on being so if my presumptions come under heavy fire from the magnanimous PC brigade and is then corroborated by the people whose 'lifestyles' they purport to defend. Besides, why can't you tolerate other peoples intolerance? And be careful of wielding the 'not being presumptuous' card when you have just called a complete stranger a bigot.
  15. Why can't you see it isn't a matter of being caring?! It's about the audacity of someone pitching up wherever they feel like it and moving on to avoid tax. This isn't a 'respect their way off life' issue - people can live wherever and do whatever they want as far as I care (provided it its not disrupting my life) - but why should people have to tolerate paying council tax whilst others make 'the lifestyle choice' to put their house on wheels and avoid it?! Does that not strike you as unfair AT all?! But thats just it isn't it.... This forum is a self-perpetuating game of oneupmanship, whereby whoever can whip up the most tolerant statement gets his/her arse licked by everyone else. Please remember that liberalism, whilst still my ideology of choice, can become terribly dogmatic, as this thread demonstrates so exquisitely. (And, in response to a thread in the lounge, is the reason why so many of the original forumers have left.... repetition sickness, no doubt). *Edited for poor spelling - I'm sleepy and my eyelids are closing of their own accord...
  16. Don't mean to piss on anyones lentils, but it is so SO comical to watch all the liberal antagonists back-track now they've realised that these 'travellers' (can't say pikeys on this forum without setting off a lynch mob) aren't quite the ingratiating neighbourly types they were thought to be.... "Oooh just go round a take them an organic bulgarwheat cupcake and casually enquire about their tax status"...... Really?! If someone set up a tent in your front garden, I presume you'd be equally forgiving?! Come off it... *Insert obligatory statement RE not being a mail reader, aggressive psycho, christian.. blah blah blah...*
  17. Happy Birthday to Mr Quids. x
  18. Oh I see. How peculiar! Never tried it and moreover never had a fox piss on my mobeley.... Vinegar and Lemon? (My answer to all cleaning problems)!
  19. No no I realise that but why would you leave it, out of your hand, outside your house to improve signal?
  20. Why would you assume that leaving the handset outdoors unattended by a caller would aid signal?! Not having a go... just curious...?!
  21. I agree in saying that we just can't know for sure, but my gut instinct tells me that there isn't a God. Call it blind atheistic faith if you will, but I just reckon the big bang happened because it happened. I'm happy believing that there there is no singular omnipotent know-it-all who spontaneously decided to ignite the bang.....just an ever contracting and expanding universe caused by the universal laws of gravity. And do you know what? That gives me greater comfort than endlessly pondering over the curious acts of a mysterious higher-being. Why? Because the universal laws of physics are tried and tested which is precisely why I'm happy to put my faith in THAT being the most logical explanation. Organised faiths can all go suck it, as far as I'm concerned. Crowd-control at its most shrewd, if you ask me! Why would anyone trust a book without references?!
  22. Why don't you buy an old non-smart phone and cellotape an A-Z, an atlas, a dictionary, a thesaurus and a casette player to it? Much cheaper!
  23. Thing is whilst it's expensive, it did put me off coming home with a pile of junk that I would have otherwise bought if the price were lower AND if there is something I really wanted I always felt that I couldn't complain because my contribution towards the charity was that bit more than usual..
