  1. Told you! The thing is the Council will have used measuring equipment 24 hours a day for a week or two to identify any speed problems. Car Speedos are notoriously inaccurate. And they will have to monitor after installation to prove or not the efficacy of the works. And hopefully the environment will be safer and more pleasing for everybody (except Killer! it seems)
  2. Good job we have an expert on here DJ. What equipment do you use to moniter the roads there? She's going to say eyes!
  3. I'll calm down in a bit. Bastards!
  4. Argggggh!

  6. Don't wish to discourage but won't it it look like a book knocked up in 4 days with such a short deadline.
  7. Go up to a policeman and show him your kitchen knife - do us all a favour ! :-)
  8. So are surgeons - all those knives! But the Point is in AN EMERGENCY requiring a rapid response the risk is more justified that is some Lady rushing round at 40mph to park on the pavement in Peckham Rye park to walk her cat. Knife Sales are restricted DERR ! Airplanes are subject to more rules and regulations than almost anything else. You seem to be arguing against yourself EDITED TO AVOID SEXISM / DOGISM complaints!
  9. "WARNING NORMAL ROAD RULES APPLY ON THIS HIGHWAY"
  10. At 20 MPH Very unlikely to be killed. So much better outcome. But ofcourse if you are doing 20mph you have more stopping distance too so a double benefit.
  11. I get it the park is just a big field ideal for parking so just let everyone park wherever they want man.
  12. The thing about a 20mph limit is it makes serious injury far less likely. I was driving in the E-DealerMobile Down Crystal Palace Road at 18 mph and an 11 year old boy playing chicken with his mates jumped out from between the cars. He Bounced off the Bonnet got up and walked away. The Mobile was very busted - New Bonnet New Windscreen. The Boy went to Hospital and was treated for minor bruising. The Hospital said he was fine and there were no real injuries. They said they could tell the car was going slowly. As a car User I am very very much in favour of the 20MPH Limit.
  13. Went there today Very Quiet Few Kids on the Frame but loads of empty tables. Food ? Well A Poor Courgette that had seen better days a Tasty but unroasted Nut Roast. 2 Very Nice Roast Potatoes. My Meaty Friend Didnt like the half chicked dumped on her plate. I'm no expert but it sort of looked unfinished! My Boy played Minecraft on my Phone. Good lad.
  14. As Car Drivers keep reminding us Roads are for Cars Pavements are for pedestrians. Simple!
  15. Oh yeah and "Its A Christian Country we should be Christian" or go home
  16. tHIS IS WEIRD another post I predicted from riceyboy in a brown envelope. Next will be .. We should respect the sanctity of Marriage or all drinkers are responsible,
  17. Blimey I had that Comment From Ricyboy written down in a sealed envelope!
  18. Bizarree Example? Outside most football matches. Near Some Stations at 5.30. After Fireoworks at Burgess Park, I can think of more but cant be bothered! The Scheme is already in Place in Chelsea.
  19. By giving Priority to Pedestrians. simple. And ofcourse in the odd area where it is as busy a shopping precinct With loads of pedestrians then ofcourse the cars should slow to a walking pace. What would you do at a road with hundreds of people crossing ? Speed up? Reminds me of the bloke who called a phone in and said childen shouldn't be allowed to do random things like go in the road without looking. Plonker!
  20. The Two Minutes thing also apples to drivers how about driving at 20 and addind 2 minutes to your journey and making everyone safer? Cars should not have the priority on Roads in populated areas.
