What would you do...if you had been suffering from Migraines and eyestrain for a 3 years at work which have been getting more and more regular. Then 6 months ago your work KINDLY fitted an anti glare screen for you. However you recently noticed that your 'so called' anti glare screen is in fact a privacy screen which they have fitted by mistake. I'm angry as my eyes have been getting worse and now I realise why!!!!

I and two other people have had our cars broke into (via the back quarter window). We are just off Underhill Road. Any suggestions as to what can be done ? (ie is it worth getting carwatch type posters printed)?

No thanks! A Sainsbury's Superstore, an Iceland, a Co-Op, a Tesco's and an array of independent shops is more than enough for our lovely East Dulwich. I wouldn't want to see Lordship Lane change into a mainstream looking high street and to lose its originality and it's distinct character.

Yes I know what you mean about Nunhead Cemetery, it's a historic cemetery with lots of walkers enjoying the history and nature of it, but Camberwell Old Cemetery is largely still in use, which is mainly where all the dogs are walked. Do you think you would feel differently if you were paying respects to someone buried there?

Are you a regular visitor to Camberwell Old Cemetery? I always find it disrespectful when I go to a relatives grave to pay my respects and see dogs running all over the graves. Especially when there are so many parks and open areas nearby. What do you think?

Thanks for that computedshorty! My Great Aunt was shopping in the Co-op shop just a few minutes before the V1 bomb hit it and destroyed so many lives. Luckily she managed to run home to the air raid shelter to safety.

....and how long have you lived in ED sallyw? I bet Iceland has been here for longer than you have? Not everyone can afford M & S and Waitrose, so leave Iceland alone!

Do you think it's right that children (mostly under fives) have their own seat on the bus? Whatever happened to children sitting on their parents lap? ....Especially when elderly and those less able get on the bus.

Hi Tarot, Here is the news report from the 28th August 2010: "The NHS Direct helpline, used by millions for instant medical advice, is to be scrapped in England and replaced with a cheaper option. The move comes despite the government promising to protect frontline services in the NHS, during the public spending cutbacks. The decision to replace the service with a new 1-1-1 helpline has provoked an angry reaction from the Labour Party. Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham claims it is part of a "vindictive mission to break up the NHS". However the latest news report on the 9th September 2010 is as follows: "There were never plans to scrap NHS Direct, according to Health Secretary Andrew Lansley, after he was accused of a climbdown on plans to get rid of the out-of-hours advice service. Twenty-seven thousand people contact NHS Direct every day, and campaigners had gathered tens of thousands of signatures on a petition calling for a rethink after the Health Secretary had appeared to announce the end of the service". So it looks like it's here to stay ....

Hello, Where abouts is Consort Estate ? Is it on Consort Road?

I like this line; Kings Collage Hospital ?were here luv?, the Conductor gets the pushchair and unfolds it in on the path, It reminds me of being on the Routemaster buses when conductors used to take pushchairs out of the compartment by the exit(behind where they stood) and unfold it on the pavement for mothers......it's not as long ago as the trams but a nice memory.

Also...my mum said that if you were a user of the public baths during the war and wanted more hot water in your bath...you would have to shout out "more hot water please". The assistant sitting outside the bathroom would then be heard saying "ok more hot water in number 11" and so on....
