    a joke

A zoo acquired a very rare species of gorilla. Within a few weeks the gorilla, a female, became very difficult to handle. Upon examination, the veterinarian determined the problem. The gorilla was in season. To make matters worse, there was no male gorilla available. Thinking about their problem, the Zoo Keeper thought of David Beckahm, the zoo's primary sponsor and well known idiot and sexual deviant. The Zoo Keeper thought they might have a solution. Becks was approached with a proposition. Would he be willing to mate with the gorilla for ?50,000? David showed some interest, but said he would have to think the matter over carefully. The following day, he announced that he would accept their offer, but only under four conditions: 1. "First", David said, "I ain't gonna kiss her on the lips." The Keeper quickly agreed to this condition. 2. "Second", he squeaked, "Ya can never tell Victoria about this." The Keeper again readily agreed to this condition. 3. "Third", Golden Balls went on, "I want little Whipsenade raised as a Man Utd fan." Once again it was agreed. 4. "And last of all", Beckham stated, "I've only got credit cards, can I pay you the ?50,000 tomorrow"
  14. There's something of a the sarah greene in her prime, meet saffron burrows. What's not to like? Can she teach me how to make my own solar power generator out of egg boxes and sticky back plastic while fending off a man-eating shark?
  15. There'll always be some way to spam. I keep getting new fans on digg, if you click on their profile there own dugg 'stories' are of course the usual viagra, cia-lis, extension pumps sales patters. I know have marked digg notification emails as junk. If you charge for emails then spammers will just get cleverer at attacking sites like our very own forum.
  16. Gosh, isn't she a pretty little thing? She's got my vote!!
  17. well, if we're stretching the boundaries then it's obviously the Market Porter or Royal Oak.
  18. Having loked around the forums it looks like it claims it does but people seem to think that claim is dubious at best. I found this utility that equalizes the levels on your library (it recommends backing up (back upping?) your library beforehand. Plus it looks mac specific http://homepage.mac.com/beryrinaldo/AudioTron/MacMP3Gain/
  19. Considering this took up many months of frantic debate and button clicking, your questions can be answered here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,61789 (if you do Ctrl+a you can see the numbers of votes too)
  20. This one boasts input monitoring http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/WinADR_MP3_Recorder_1189_p/ and sound editor http://www.filesland.com/companies/Next-Generation-Software-Inc/NGWave.html and a ... thing http://www.downloads45.com/details/Graphic-Equalizer-Studio-12253.html I brook no responsibility for anything if they blow your computer up or anything.
  21. On old tape machines you could mess about with the input levels. I've not spotted anything similar on rippers I've used, but I'll have a look for you.
  22. Good man. I pretty much agree with everything said on this thread so far. I love iPod's, they're lovely objects and a joy to use, and also good quality. I hate hate hate iTunes. And yeah, if it's background docking is fine, but if yo ureally want to listen and enjoy something, no alternative to a full format. CD is great, but if i had the space/money I'd get a turntable, reclaim my vinyl collection from my brother's loft and replace my CDs at a cost of probably only a hundred thousand pounds or so :-/ Sadly winamp is windows only in alpha. A leopardamp seems to be on its way though as it's here in beta http://www.wikihow.com/Download-Winamp-for-Mac Oh, and have same issue with the Pixies Brendan.
  23. iTunes, not iStore. Horrible, difficult interface. Apples own 'lossless' format is indeed restrictive and about as lossless as my arse. Not that any MP3 is good mind you. Fine for some headphones I guess, but can't understand people who rip their CDs and then get rid of them. Listening to MP3 on a decent hi-fi is like listening to a speech synthesiser read poetry. The factual elements are there, but the soul is missing. I use winamp for library management and PC listening and then with a creative or archos or whatever you can just use explorer and drag and drop. Nice and easy.
  24. Oh yes, I've got his secret house against the world, very good. I love these guys Fiery Furnaces - South is only a Home
  25. saw some of it *Bob*, I soon tired of the hatchet being wielded so single mindedly. With Pantsorama so poor these days I normally rely on Dispatches, so very disappointed. Haven't made up my mind AD. In principal I don't think it's healthy for anyone to remain in office for more than 2 terms, and he is a bit of a tit, but I'm ambivalent towards him. I rather like Boris, but having heard him on various radio programmes it's obvious he's ill prepared and basically doesn't really know what he's talking about. That Paddick seems a nice chap though, sort of man you could skin up with if I'm not mistaken.
