  1. Hi The old format was unsecure and unable to continue. At least you still have a forum thanks to Joe!
  2. This thread is by one of our sad, old trolling friends. It is made up and a lie, please ignore it
  3. It's there, you have to click on the icon next to contact:
  4. And this one takes you to the first unread post in the thread (this is the more useful one to click) ps I'm liking this "place inline" feature for images/attachments, so much easier than before :)
  5. This little icon take you to the last post in a thread
  6. Ah, now we know the details we can look into it. "Going home for the weekend thread not working." implied that it wasn't working at all. As you were
  7. Please ignore, testing to see if this thread works as Jazzer said it doesn't.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, constructive feedback also welcome. There was warning over the last month or so that this would happen, and I posted last week that the change was coming. Ref the "lost posts" Unfortunately the company that hosted the old forum, Heart Internet, decided to close and totally delete the old forum before I could take a new backup. The last backup we had was from the 20th July so we've lost a lot of messages (including private messages), sorry about that but blame Heart Internet.
  9. I'm afraid it is: In 2020, 25% of trips were under 1 mile, and 71% under 5 miles. 11. If you can go to 43in, WhatHifi says Samsung UE43TU7100 https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/tvs/best-samsung-tvs for that budget. My mum's got one and she's very pleased with it, she had a 32-inch screen before. Currently ?320 on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-inch-AU7100-UHD-Smart/dp/B08Y733RV1
  12. Maybe think of it as a cryptic crossword puzzle and work it out with a pen
  13. A breakdown of some items can be seen here https://astongroupuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Greenleaf-Road-Retrofit-Factsheet-WEB.pdf: Heat Pump and radiator system ?10,200 Solar PV and battery storage ?12,294 Underfloor insulation ?1,850 Solid wall insulation ?12,081 Loft insulation ?829 You need to add vat to those figures Not sure what the breakdown of the grant was, but it was about ?59k
  14. George Orwell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It seems the Waltham Forest retro-fit is seen as > successful. > > The cost: ?115,245 That's the cost of the whole house refit (including garden landscaping), ?59k of the cost was paid for by a grant. Heat pump and radiators system was ?10,200 and "the resident would save around ?860 per year and a carbon emission reduction of about 4240kg per year."
  15. Nope, not trolling you at all, just trying to understand the point you're trying to make. If you raise an opinion openly you must expect it to be questioned. Good on you for raising it, I'm just trying to clarify it.
