  1. Hi The old format was unsecure and unable to continue. At least you still have a forum thanks to Joe!
  2. This thread is by one of our sad, old trolling friends. It is made up and a lie, please ignore it
  3. It's there, you have to click on the icon next to contact:
  4. And this one takes you to the first unread post in the thread (this is the more useful one to click) ps I'm liking this "place inline" feature for images/attachments, so much easier than before :)
  5. This little icon take you to the last post in a thread
  6. Ah, now we know the details we can look into it. "Going home for the weekend thread not working." implied that it wasn't working at all. As you were
  7. Please ignore, testing to see if this thread works as Jazzer said it doesn't.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, constructive feedback also welcome. There was warning over the last month or so that this would happen, and I posted last week that the change was coming. Ref the "lost posts" Unfortunately the company that hosted the old forum, Heart Internet, decided to close and totally delete the old forum before I could take a new backup. The last backup we had was from the 20th July so we've lost a lot of messages (including private messages), sorry about that but blame Heart Internet.
  9. I'm afraid it is: In 2020, 25% of trips were under 1 mile, and 71% under 5 miles. 10. Definitely surveyor's targets https://g2survey.com/retro-reflective-targets/?gclid=CjwKCAjwsJ6TBhAIEiwAfl4TWGCf0rIF0X_aNa3ScRwltP8V28ojQfQ75oody3voYtIR4ge2fm4Z4xoCrT0QAvD_BwE
  11. If you can go to 43in, WhatHifi says Samsung UE43TU7100 https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/tvs/best-samsung-tvs for that budget. My mum's got one and she's very pleased with it, she had a 32-inch screen before. Currently ?320 on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-inch-AU7100-UHD-Smart/dp/B08Y733RV1
  12. Maybe think of it as a cryptic crossword puzzle and work it out with a pen
  13. A breakdown of some items can be seen here https://astongroupuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Greenleaf-Road-Retrofit-Factsheet-WEB.pdf: Heat Pump and radiator system ?10,200 Solar PV and battery storage ?12,294 Underfloor insulation ?1,850 Solid wall insulation ?12,081 Loft insulation ?829 You need to add vat to those figures Not sure what the breakdown of the grant was, but it was about ?59k
  14. George Orwell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It seems the Waltham Forest retro-fit is seen as > successful. > > The cost: ?115,245 That's the cost of the whole house refit (including garden landscaping), ?59k of the cost was paid for by a grant. Heat pump and radiators system was ?10,200 and "the resident would save around ?860 per year and a carbon emission reduction of about 4240kg per year."
  15. Nope, not trolling you at all, just trying to understand the point you're trying to make. If you raise an opinion openly you must expect it to be questioned. Good on you for raising it, I'm just trying to clarify it.
  16. Sorry, I don't get the point you're trying to make. Could you summarise?
  17. They're separate. Boris is not condoning taking the knee, he's said that the ECB response to the old tweets was inappropriate. As far as I know, Ollie Robinson wasn't booing the knee at that football match. I do know that he is remorseful of his old tweets, he apologised, saying he was "embarrassed" and "ashamed" and he has "the full support of the team". By the way, saying "perhaps" a few times before your opinion (of what other people are thinking) does not give additional weight to a discussion point.
  18. Try the PlantNet app, it's free. Install it, open it and then take a picture of the plant. Let us know how you get on.
  19. Good spot Sidhue, DulwichDaddio is Stephen Taylor, Trolley Snatcha etc
  20. I created a list for people at work which might be useful for you: https://www.notion.so/markfresh/0232e1bcfe8041c4bbd65e77398c2cfc?v=ea658129a51d4f7893795ddbbbd315d3 I've just finished Call My Agent which was tres bien. Currently watching the new series of Marcella aka Anna Friel, troubled again.
  21. I used Farewill, an online service and it was brilliant. I've put off will writing for years and after using them I was genuinely impressed. These guys made it so simple and the advice is great. A solicitor isn't always needed for a will. Here's a link to them which gives me (?10) and you 25% off https://farewill.com/r/mark-61795
  22. I don't think people ride them to "look good" and why forward these concerns to the Borough Commander? There will be a trial, let that decide on the outcome rather than speculation on a forum.
  23. With EE you have a "Manage my place" facility https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/networkchecker/myplaces You set your places e.g. home and work. If there's an issue in the area they text you about it, and also when it has been fixed. It's quite a handy feature.
  24. We used David and his team to fix a leaking pipe seal and seal up some damaged repointing on our 3rd floor roof. Nice guy, knowledgeable, quick and efficient, local and really helpful with sourcing a local scaffolder too. I'd definately recommended him and his team. Dave at Norwood Roofing: 07412 000 214
  25. Do you know why they're replacing the windows ms_wilson? Do you know if they have looked at other options including more "environmentally responsible" ones? Do you know why they came up with the decision to replace them "like for like"? Do you know their budget and any listed building constraints? I'm trying to work out if you're angry knowing what they've been through, or if you've simply read an application and become angry without knowing the full story. If you do know the answers please share them so we can understand.
