  1. Yes PL is pretty brutal. One of our number had to leave the cinema for 5 minutes during the torture scene. Definitely worth a watch though, especially as many of my kin were on the losing side in the war, and alot of them fled to South America to avoid character like the capitan. Not sure Sean, I haven't been a hitchin regular for many a long year, but It could be the Red Hart which was quite a muso pub.
  2. You do realise Batdog that DM is a regular at friar o'conner's place?
  3. * accepts offer of headache pills, wishes sunday were not really followed by anything at all....maybe orange liquid and fenugreek ballpoint pens *
  4. Nice. Pan's Labyrinth is a top top film. Yes, Hitchin looking good (better than letchworth). Ironically i ended up drinking in a hugely gentrified Three Moorhens. No fights, no darts, no people being dragged across the carpark under a car, just family oriented niceness. Snorky wouod be proud.
  5. Here we go again. Go on Haylehaye, he's a dish alright, he even has his own dedicated flickr group...
  6. Laughs out loud err..quietly obviously .. at this quote "Paul Smye-Rumsby, who lives in Dover, said: "It was about 08.15 when suddenly the bed shook violently. I thought my wife had got cramp or something but then I saw the curtains were moving""
  7. * chuckles to self, 2:30,tut tut, glad i stayed in too * * wonders why the hangover, wonders how got home from Camden * * ... ... ... absolutely clueless ... ... ... nope, no idea *
  8. Just to clarify Snorky, an antideluvial male is someone who's generally against too much water in one place, or do you have to specifically build flood barriers and the like? God I hate them!!
  9. * goes on to love film to get Ferris Buellers, The Goonies, Bridget Jones' Diary and Big trouble In Little China for guilty pleasure extraveganza *
  10. I think it's a marvellous idea. I'm starching my linens and cleaning my pipe* as we speak. Lots of inspiration here http://www.thechap.net/ ?All men are equal. All men, that is, who possess umbrellas.? *just to make absolutely clear, this is not a euphemism.
  11. Lol, if only you knew James!!
  12. Well my mate's up in Hitchin, so I guess probably Windmill Hill? Just for old time's sake I quite like the sound of having a bottle of lambrusco up there. Hangover permitting I'll be along to the Mag quiz on sunday too.
  13. *lounged* I for one will be off to see an old mate for for a few beers, some park action and a bit of wii
  14. Amazingly I went in to Fopp and managed NOT to spend money. However the Camden branch is giving away the double Camden Crawl CD for free, so if you're nearby I'd grab it. 38 tracks of future stars for nowt. Mind you I'm unconvinced of Akala's claim that.. "I'm Shakespeare reincarnated, except I spit flows and strip hos naked" Hmm, worthy of the bard himself, I'm sure.
  15. Fopp started in Glasgow, but have been in Bristol for years. I'm practically a pauper thanks to the Camden Fopp, so I'm going to have to veto that one until I gt a new job at least.
  16. Brut 66. What? Where's everyone gone?
  17. I know sushi is meant to be fresh, but this is surely taking things too far. Right, I'm off to lunch now, but I'll have to see how the appetite holds up. http://cyrusfarivar.com/blog/?p=1294
  18. * rather disturbed by some of the activities in the quiet room today, especially involving lightly buttered muffings * * also feeling rather jaded, so mixes up a couple of red eyes - anyone, anyone, bueller? *
  19. Ooh, obviously don't let Mrs Mockney know, but totally agree Jah. Bara's (sp?) really sweet and friendly and yes, rather beautiful in an unconventional way. Keef, not strictly speaking East dulwich now is she? Unless she's been in the Drum recently? *rubs thighs excitedly*
  20. and that bagpuss is rather lovely obvioulsly!! Crystal, you should post up a thread on the lines of 'girlfriend wanted' or something.
  21. Have you been watching Only Fools and Horses on UK Gold again Snorky? "Safe as 'aahses"
  22. I have similar issues, but wish mrs mockney would come back from scotland *sighs again*
  23. * adds another log to the brazier and warms self by raging inferno* *starts toasting some marshmallows ... mmmmmm*
  24. It looks worryingly like my hair in the 80s. It's actually the one on the corner of East Dulwich Grove and Elsie Rd. Oh well, there goes any Guess Where East Dulwich possibilities
