  2. South London Dance Studios will be opening brand new premises in Herne Hill from November and they do 'nursery' ballet classes from 2.5yrs (as well as adult). My little boy has just been offered a place to start 11 November, so give them a call. Contact Lorraine McFarlane, Administrator, South London Dance Studios, 020 7978 8624. I would also recommend checking out Netmums - loads of mother & baby groups are advertised along with various preschool things too and you can select East Dulwich as an area, or look at surrounding places such as Dulwich Village & Herne Hill.
  3. You can also buy them in Merry-go-round in Herne Hill - she stocks new ones and is also an excellent 2nd hand children's clothes shop.
  4. I have to say I swear by our P&T. No2 was born when No1 was 13mths old and it has been amazing. I can get on a bus as it's the same size as a 'normal' single buggy (and with the London bus '2 buggies only' rule, a double buggy counts as 2, so you're stuffed if another one's already on there). My youngest (now 18mths) loves being it, even though she's underneath, she gets quite a good view and you soon learn to position it sideways so they both look at whatever you're pointing out. I have a friend who wished she'd had one when her 2nd was born as she'd banked on her 1st (nearly 3yrs) being happy on the buggy board, but she said that they got tired standing for long walks. There is now a buggy board that has a double step so it can be a sort of seat, so that might make it better. Hope this helps.

  6. Hi, there's a Dad's drop-in session at Brockwell Park 1 o clock club on a Saturday morning, it's a really nice spacious club with a garden. I haven't been to this session, but it's apparently quite popular. It's a drop-in group for mums to be, new parents & carers of babies and young toddlers - I don't know how many other Dads will come along, but we do get the odd one or two at bumps n babes in Herne Hill.

  8. Hi, I am the Postnatal tea group coordinator for the Southwark & Lambeth NCT branch. I have recently been made aware that there have been no tea groups being run in SE22 for several months and I am keen to get these back up and working again. Due to work commitments, the previous SE22 Tea Host is unable to continue to volunteer to coordinate the various tea groups and the team of hosts. If you would be interested in helping out with these tea groups, for which there is high demand, please let me know. It's a really fun thing to do and not massively time-consuming. If you are reading this and are a tea host who, despite having offered to help, have not been contacted recently, please accept my apologies and get in touch as I am also trying to track down everybody who has kindly volunteered in the past - unfortunately a list of the active hosts has not been provided to me, so I'm starting from scratch... Many thanks for your patience. Abigail
