  1. It is difficult to understand why someone would leave a load of mouldy bread by the lake in Peckham rye park. The birds won?t touch it and it only serves to endanger the wellbeing of unfortunate dogs who cannot resist their scavenging tendencies. My dog is one such and required an expensive purge at the vets in order secure his safety from mycotoxic poisoning. Very annoying.
  2. ?Lady driver? spotted by ?the trolley man?......... let?s hope that the cctv ?they? are gender neutral.
  3. What a treat to find on a morning EDF browse! Hiroshima and her ginkgoes deserve to be celebrated. Thank you for the article Sue x
  4. Fortunately it seems to be emulsion so a hose and brush seemed to help.
  5. Bravo to whoever managed to drip and spill brilliant white paint all down crawthew grove and up Crystal Palace road this morning. What a mess.
  6. No. I don?t open the door to anyone who doesn?t have believable ID. His mate hanging back at the gate and the ridiculous blag about traffic control was what unnerved me.
  7. One heavily built thick grey haired man in dark glasses at my door, white and in his fifties, just now saying he was from traffic control at the council. Asked to see his card and he said it was in his car so I told him to go and get it. He and his wiry mate who hung back at the gate left and have not returned. Unsettling. Crystal Palace Road.
  8. Yep! They were pounding the park this Saturday x
  9. Maybe it?s just my eye, rahrahrah, but it seems as though gravity has tugged them a few millimetres lower since they arrived!
  10. This morning I had a pang of sad remembrance of the beautiful sculpture that was stolen from the park. Do you think that one day a piece of public sculpture of equal standing will arrive for us to enjoy? I watch the steady collapse of the two spirals of piping that were placed at the top of the park as a replacement and have to note that they are not doing it for me. A competition maybe?
  11. Thanks for the information. I went and asked how long the outage would be and was told about and hour xx
  12. How ghastly. I hope you get over it quickly and, as WH Auden said,? wear your tribulation like a rose? xxx
