  1. Maybe stringing up is a tad excessive. But the reactions I saw to the violent removal of this beautiful piece are interesting. A huge number of gasps of disbelief, followed by a pained look for having lost something precious. Followed by expletives and real anger. As the criminals have proverbially bottled us all in the face, I think the least we can do is reinstate the stocks down in Dulwich Village (see the remains to the right of Dulwich Books) and when the perpetrators are found, on their way to clink we all get the chance to tip the contents of our new brown food waste mini-bins over their heads.
  2. I will be going to the SNT meeting tomorrow evening and will raise this, then post back.
  3. I will be attending the Safer Neighbourhood Panel on 9 March and will be ask for this to be on the agenda.
  4. No 116 LL (old packing factory on corner of Bassano St, next to Thomas More(?) hall) is supposedly being converted into consulting rooms for some Harley Street consultants - this was second hand info, but might be the gym/osteo place you are referring to. I had also heard that Bombay Bicycle CLub have pulled out, don't know whether it's true but could well be, given how long they have had to open up.
  5. New to this forum - not sure if this dups something already covered but The Plough freehold is owned by Mitchells & Butler and indeed appears as one of their pubs on their website. So if the dog people are getting involved, maybe they are going in under some management agreement? The exterior painting has started and The Plough name is still there in new bold lettering.
