  1. Hi, I am a local Recorder and Piano teacher, could also offer clarinet, and I teach at my home, 60A Oakhurst Grove, SE22 9AQ. I have been teaching in the area since the mid 1980s , though cuts at schools where I worked for many years have made it more and more necessary for me to advertise. I currently do have two or three spaces so do get in touch if you are looking for a teacher for your child or even yourself! I currently have recorder students working towards grades 2 to 8 and piano students working towards grades 1-7. I also try to organise a concert performance for all my students at least twice a year. Last year we had a lovely concert just before Xmas at Goose green Church. So do contact me if you are looking for someone to teach your child either Recorder or Piano. and even clarinet. I can also teach small groups of children Recorder , up to a maximum of 4 in a group and have a couple of spare 40 minute slots for this available.
  2. I only ever went in a couple of times finding them ridiculously expensive. Not surprised they have had to close in this economic climate
  3. Hi, this is a message for all those retired people who would like to form a class to re-learn to play the Recorder. It would take place at the Southwark Pensioners Centre on thursday mornings. The fee for 12 sessions would be ?48 , i.e. ?4 per class. To be viable so as not to need subsidy from the charity, we would need between 12 and 15 people to register their interest. The Centre is available to anyone over 50! There is also the possibility of reaching the stage where you could join the centre's Recorder Consort. If you are interested please contact the Southwark Pensioner Centre either in person or on 0207 708 4556
