  1. Paul

    Manchester

Anyone been to Manchester recently? Heading there with some friends on Saturday and I'm after some pubs / bars / restaurant recommendations.
  2. Thanks. The quotes include all disbursements so I'm fairly confident that it's apples with apples. I did ask the first firm if they could meet the other quote but they said not. I'll double check everything and then probably go with the other firm and save myself ?300!
  3. Hi Is it best to use the same conveyancing firm for sale and purchase? I ask because I'm currently using a firm for my sale but their quote for my purchase is quite a lot higher than a few other firms. I suppose my question is would it be a hassle to use a separate firm for the purchase? Any advice would be appreciated. P
  4. I'm looking to buy a flat in a period property that contains two flats. I've been told by the agent that with the flat I want to buy comes the freehold for the whole building (and presumably the other flat must have a lease). Does anyone have any experience of this situation? My concern is that if, say, the roof needed expensive repairs would I as the freeholder bear the entire cost? I'd like to get a better idea of the costs and benefits of this sort of situation.

I'm currently using Tepilo but I don't think it gets much traffic at the moment. Other than going through a traditional estate agent (such as Foxtons) there are several online only estate agents that charge much less and also post your property on sites such as Rightmove, Findaproperty, Globrix etc. They seem to have various packages that range from setting up a HIP, taking photos etc but all I want is my property on rightmove. I was wondering if anyone had used an online agent an knew if any offered this as a standard service.
  6. Does anyone know which are the best online estate agents? I'm selling my flat privately and the only way to get it on rightmove and the other big property sites is through an online agent. I already have a HIP, photos and floor plan etc so just want to get some decent exposure.

    The Shard

Sorry, I forgot - you're more interested in "Butt Plugs". I 'll be sure to mention something similar so as not to bore you next time. C**K

    The Shard

Thanks Philip - wonder if it will affect prices in ED what with it being a very easy commute if you're going to be working in it.

    The Shard

Does anyone know when The Shard in London Bridge is due to be completed? I have heard 2011 but that seems a bit too soon.
  10. Good bar, night club / strip club.
  11. Hi I've been asked to organise a stag do in Leeds and I haven't been on a night out there for about five years! Does anyone who know's the area well have any recomendations? We'll be starting off in The Elbow Room in The Calls. Cheers!
  12. Is it byo? Heading there tonight and need a glass of vino!
  13. Thanks Charlie. Think I'll try the hydrangea and some Euonymus I found on the BBC gardening website. It's really useful as you can search for plants based on light, soil type, colour etc: http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/index.shtml
  14. I've got a raised area next to a wall at the back of my garden that hardly gets any sun. I have no idea what to do with it but I'm thinking about planting some shrubs that don't mind poor light. Does anyone have any ideas or know what shrubs / plants do well in low light?
