There's also the housemaid 'industry', the shellfishing 'industry' and even the pizza 'industry'. Not to mention many others.

Guessing, but after a while a car's fuel tank often gets a layer of gunk (rust, etc) at the bottom and letting the petrol run very low can let this gunk into your fuel pipes. So it may be you need the fuel pipes cleared.

The NHS Supply Chain has been run by the German logistics company DHL and NHS Shared Business Services, handling a wide range of back office functions (SBS), is 50% owned by French IT company Sopra Steria. Virgin (UK owner) has show a lot of interest in health provision.

What makes you think they are looking to America? Or are you equating 'privatised' with the US and then projecting? Germany and Austria are two systems that have a significant private contribution and work very well.

And you need a second mortgage to get a cab from LHR to ED. Plus Uber, as far as I've ever heard, don't pull up and then say "sorry mate, I'm not going that way" in the sort of way that makes you start to wonder if you misunderstood exactly how taxis are supposed to function.

If you are lucky, they'll take standard rechargeable AAA's, which you can buy in most supermarkets or from eBay. If not, try sticking the make/model number into eBay. My cordless is 10 years old - stuck new batteries in about 18 months ago and it's like new again.

The only problem I can see is that you can't change your vote afterwards after people have debated and you may have been swayed in your opinion.

Of course, if there is a problem with certain types of burials, the solution won't be to move all burials out of the borough. That would risk inflaming anti-Muslim sentiment, as they would be seen to be blocking the cemetery redevelopment, even though it's not their fault at all. If the current plans cannot be adapted, then more land would need to be cleared in order to provide such facilities. I think SSW are shooting themselves in the foot here.

It's arithmatic.. Well, you've done the arithmetic correctly, but the underlying logic was wrong. As ed_pete pointed out, including the cost of heating the water in your comparative water costs is completely flawed.

I love A J Farmers, but if I was to name the 12 reasons to visit LL for a magazine, it wouldn't make the cut. Nor would any of the curry houses. The Cheese Block and Franklins, both been around for a couple of decades, made the cut and quite rightly. I thought it was a decent article, the inclusion of "Give and Take" and the vomit-inducing use of "Easy D" notwithstanding. Sometimes, Louisa, I think you're only ever happy when you're miserable.

Foxy - that's a truly awful piece of logic.

Just checked Homecare prices just for boiler and CH cover only. ?160 a year with a ?60 excess, or ?220 a year with zero excess. You get annual service, so knock ?60 off that for something you would/should actually get done every year. So you are effectively paying ?120+?60excess/?180 a year to cover boiler/CH breakdowns. And if you need a new boiler and your old one is more than 7 years old, you're still going to have to fork out for a new boiler yourself. As far as I see it, it's like any insurance/service contract/extended warranty - you should only pay cover for costs you can't afford. If a ?500+ plumber cost would cause you real financial difficulties, then maybe consider it. If a ?500+ plumber cost would be an annoyance, then you're probably better off taking the risk.

Or, to de-tech Foxy's reply, it's probably your wireless connection, not your actual broadband. Your wireless only has a certain number of channels (1-13) and you are probably clashing with one of your neighbours. Try changing your wifi channel - 6 and 11 are usually the most popular and you need to be at least two channels from any clash (i.e. if you are clashing with someone on channel 6, then channel 5 and 7 won't be much better). I'd say try 1, 3 or 9. Newer routers (like Virgin Superhub) work on two different frequencies - 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz, but few people the second (5 Ghz) those so it's rather unlikely you'll get a channel clash on that. Likewise, you probably aren't using it either, you'll be on the usual one - 2.4 Ghz.

Out of interest, what is the annual cost for you contract?

Again, Blanche - you do realise that Kemnal Park only provide leases as well, for as little as 25 years? What do you think will happen after that lease has expired?

Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But think I can't get rid of Landline unless I > change to fibre thing? Technologically challenged :D Yep - only V*rgin will allow you to have broadband without a landline, because all the rest use the landline infrastructure. Well, and mobile broadband dongles, but I suspect that's not what you want.
