  1. It keeps discussion on each thread to a single place. hope that helps FRM
  2. I hid it, and have hidden the reposted version, as it is already in the Lounge.
  3. This thread is locked, as it's a duplicate of one in the Wanted room.
  4. These threads are really making me laugh. But please can we stick to just one? Suggest the other one, as it has more posts on it. Apologies to buggie and wod.
  5. Really sorry, Ko - and maybe someone will come along with a better answer - but I think this is just something they do, and you may have to keep rolling him back until he learns the reverse roll.
  6. Sounds like a thread for the discussion room.
  7. Hope I'm not interfering too much, but seems there are lots of babies due in the next few months whose parents would like to have their own thread, as well as the Autumn Babies thread. Please feel free to chat here, arrange meet-ups, compare symptoms (eek!) and plan for your new arrivals. I'm sure it goes without saying that those with new babies already, those now overdue and w-a-i-t-i-n-g or indeed who just want to join in for fun are more than welcome. Many congratulations to all the families expecting new members. cheers FRM P.S. summer babies are fab - I have one, I am one! :)
  8. Hi laam There have been a few good threads recently on the topic of moving on from 'baby' beds and bedding, have a look at:- Toddler Bed to Single Bed Sleeping bag to duvet What age.. Hoping one of these will help you, if not some new good advice on this thread. cheers FRM
  9. I have hidden a post and the responses to it. Please carry on as you were, and if I may say so, cheers. FRM
  10. Not exclusively a family room thread, crescent - I'm moving this to the lounge. cheers FRM
  11. How would I know? I live in Peckham.
  12. This thread appears to have become about the contributors to the thread rather than the topic under discussion, which was someone's experience at MIND, and the consequences. Can I please ask that if posters want to continue the discussion that they discuss the topic and not one another. I for one think that all that needs saying has now been said, but if there's more please bring it on. Fuschia and Huggers - apologies, this was not aimed at you, yours were just the most recent posts.
  13. Hello family roomers A couple of people posted in this section today looking for a financial advisor and suggestions for employment for an artist/designer. On Admin's advice, these have been moved to the ED Businesses section of the forum where they may get a better response. Please do report any messages you see in the wrong boards and one of the moderators will move them. FRM.
  14. Alison, suggest you start a new thread in the ED businesses, restaurants and trades section - that will generate more response.
  15. With localmama's permission, I'm locking this thread. Please feel free to continue to discuss the topic on the thread started by FatherJack.
  16. Here it is: nannies. There has been a lot of discussion over time - you might want to use the Search facility to have a look for other threads. FRM
  17. Michael Ryan Please could you start a new thread to discuss this topic? This thread is for discussion of the Albany midwives. Sending you a copy of this message by PM. Thank you kindly FRM
  18. I have to admit I winced when I saw the topic being posted, but have found this a really interesting thread - thanks to all for your contribution. I would ask, however, that posters refrain from making personal comments about one another. I've hidden 2 messages.
  19. Hi rubyroo I thought you might get more response in the discussion part of the family room. FRM
  20. Sorry to have confused you, it was a bit obscure I admit. Molly wanted to revive the thread but couldn't find it, so she started a new one. ClareC dug up this one, and on request I hid the new thread, as it wasn't needed any more.
  21. Good work by ClareC, she beat me to it. cheers and Happy New Year to all FRM
  22. All Can we please keep to one discussion on one thread on each topic. I have assumed that this is the main thread (as it has the most and the most frequent posts) on the Albany midwives, and have asked the Administrator to lock: Anyone else booked with the Albany? We want the Albany model of care. We want it now. Albany midwives campaign on bbc london news Birth and power by Wendy Savage The locked threads will still be available for reading, but the conversation will continue on one thread only. Thanks and regards FRM
  23. Antijen, what I mean by personal attacks are comments on the person and not on the opinion. I haven't seen the need to give anyone warnings, as there haven't been any posts since my last that warranted a warning. Incidentally, writing a post in capital letters is generally interpreted as shouting - I am sure you didn't intend yours that way but it can come across as rude.
  24. I've been following the discussion with interest. Please can I politely request that posters refrain from making personal attacks on one another.
  25. Everyone is free to express their views, but please do so with respect and good manners. Have a cup of tea or something, and live and let live.
