  1. I put a memory stick with all the tracks for tonight on it into Nygel's computer, and now it has renamed the drive name from F to H and the windows media player playlist is not recognising any of the tracks. Can anybody help please, as I only have an hour left to sort it, AAARRRGGGHHHH eta: Someone is helping with this, but any further advice welcome, thanks.

Also (but double check) if you order something and it doesn't fit/you decide it doesn't work, you can return it. You have to paint them yourself (they come undercoated I think) but that is reflected in the price. You also have to arrange delivery from the place the units are made, but they have a recommended deliverer from that area who they usually use.

DH is Denmark Hill, yes? What is PH? ETA: Apologies, I think it must be a typo for PR aka Peckham Rye.

I love both The Ivy House and The Old Nun's Head, and The Ivy House is getting better and better - check out the fantastic new stage curtains :)

  11. A good article here (I think). Rather long but very interesting: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jun/25/-sp-phone-hacking-trial-rebekah-brooks-rupert-murdoch

Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Perhaps sometimes it's better just to wish a local > business good luck... xxxxx I have no idea who or what Sugar Mountain is, I just belatedly read between the lines of his or her posts. If he or she is opening or has already opened a local business, then yes, good luck, but wouldn't it have been clearer just to have stated that and said what kind of business it is and where it is? Or have I missed a thread or a post somewhere? I read the "I sometimes have salted caramel from Marine Ices" and the rest of that sentence as meaning that he or she sometimes bought it there, as a punter, hence my post abour Marine Ices. ETA: Why isn't this thread in the business section, btw?

What we paid in Marine Ices was definitely more than what we pay for the equivalent in Oddonos, and the ice cream was definitely much less nice. If Time Out has said something different, maybe you could give a link to the article? ETA: Oh. I've just realised that you sell ice cream yourself. Duh. So I guess Oddono's is a competitor? Oh well.
  16. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We all have a pop at Sue on here when without > access to ALL the evidence or sitting in on all > the trials she condemns the McCanns. xxxxxx I have always made it quite clear that my views on the McCanns are based solely on what information is in the Portuguese police files in the public domain, and that my view could change if I was privy to evidence which is not presently in the public domain. And I don't know what "trials" you are referring to?

  18. There's someone in the "Wanted" section looking for a lift ....
  19. Sugar Mountain Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi > > Just came across this post so thought I'd add that > I sometimes have salted caramel from Marine Ices. xxxxxxx Went to Marine Ices in Camden at Easter with the grandkids as we had just walked along the canal. Thought it wasn't a patch on Oddono's. Less tasty ice cream, more expensive, and poor service. Wouldn't willingly go there again.
  20. Seabag Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Gluten free bread near choked me to death, it's > weird crumb texture conspires against the eater > and tries to kill you > xxxxxxx Well - some gluten-free bread is indeed absolutely vile with a weird texture and sometimes also a weird taste. Like the muck Sainsbury's now sell since they stopped selling yummy Warburton's gluten-free :( But some is fine (see my post above). Tesco's own brand seeded gluten-free bread is not much different from ordinary bread in texture and taste. In my opinion. Or you could try making your own in a breadmaker, and experiment with type of flour and method. Some now have programs for gluten-free bread.

  22. Why don't you just post the questions here?
