I think it's going to be a competitor to Maison Dog in North Cross Road. Selling solely cat-related items :)

Plane noise and cyclists. But the plane noise isn't as bad as my neighbour's boiler going on and off while I'm trying to sleep :( -
Is it just me who doesn't know WFT this is about ?? :)) ETA: I mean WTF, lol :))

I could forgive all the plane noise if we still had Concorde going over - at around 5pm if memory serves. But we don't, so I can't :( -
The Dog House now has quite a bit of stuff in the shop. Cushions with dogs on. China dogs. Diamante dog collars etc.. When is it opening?

Soda water and a splash of lime. Lots of ice. Yeh drop of bitters if you want to make it taste more, er, bitter. Roll on November, eh?

Pretty Pregnant I think :)

Too much information ...
-
Actually I now find I had misunderstood. Apparently it's not that the seals (I can't think of another word, lol) go yellow, it's that they deteriorate with time and heat leaks out of the cooker and turns the white coating on the cooker yellow. Or something like that anyway. No jokes about jaundiced sealions please :) And the cooker shop says that baby oil is OK on stainless steel fridges etc, but not on cookers :(
-
:)) Funny but unhelpful :))
-
That's what Rangemaster just told me, but does the baby oil actually stop the fingermarks in the first place? Because if not, you've still got to keep wiping them off, haven't you? I'm not particularly houseproud, but I think this might drive me mad(der) :)) The problem is the only other colour I like in the model I want is white, and I've been told the seals go yellow and look terrible .....
-
I know some ovens etc now come with fingerprint proof stainless steel finishes, but the cooker I am thinking of buying doesn't. Am I just setting myself up for endless aggravation and constant wiping down of fingerprints? Has anybody bought one and now wishes they hadn't??

The bus starts at Putney Heath. We got on at Putney Station, about two stops later. It was travelling to Peckham. The speeding was between Putney and ED. I imagine he was anxious to finish his shift and get home. -

It was one of the last few buses of the night, and it arrived at Putney station more or less at the time advertised on the bus stop. -

I have no idea whether the bus driver was at fault in the accident described on this thread, but I was on a 37 (ie the same bus route) late on Sunday night and the driving was so dangerous that I have reported it to the bus company. The driver drove much too fast for most of the journey from Putney to ED, sometimes on the wrong side of the road, and had several near misses. It was quite frightening. Has anybody else experienced this kind of thing? Have they got recruitment problems, or something? -

Just belatedly read this piece, whilst avoiding doing urgent things. Loved it, thanks!

Hi, I may be interested depending on prices. My daughter runs something similar in Oxford using Infinity Foods, and their prices seem to me to be high. Maybe Suma is cheaper? I couldn't see any prices on their website, though there is a lot of information about the products.

If you stick the number plates down with strong glue, they will break if someone tries to remove them. ETA: Sorry, didn't know about the thief resistant screws - do they actually work?

Cycling only on the back wheel?? With front wheel up in the air? I have a friend who rides a unicycle all over London. Now THAT is impressive :)

Silly girl - car has a flat battery, can you help?!
Sue replied to Nutfield-coven's topic in The Lounge
Can't help with the jump leads, but maybe you need a new battery? I wouldn't have thought it should run down after just a few weeks of non-use? I don't use my car sometimes for weeks at a time, but it always starts :) If you're in a rescue service with HomeStart or equivalent, they will come and recharge the battery for you with a super-speedy charger, to save you driving around to charge it up once you've used the jump leads ...... ETA: I don't think your problem has anything to do with your gender, btw .... -
Their ice cream was delicious and very well priced, and their chocolates - though relatively expensive - were very yummy and really useful for a small gift. They took a lot of trouble boxing them up, tying a ribbon on them and putting them in a stripey paper carrier, even for just six quids' worth.

And go to Primark :)
