  6. ianr Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Looking forward to reading My Signal's Back. My signal's back ETA Oh sorry Karrie, just realised that you might have wanted to post this when, er, your signal was back :-$ Let me know if you want me to delete this post :-$
  7. Bloody birds are demolishing fat balls and seed like no tomorrow, have decided not to let them have any more till they've eaten all the peanuts :)
  8. Callie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Keep cats away from busy roads, or any roads. xxxxxxxx Long time since I've had a cat, but if you're going to let them out at all, how can you keep them away from roads? Surely they will just roam wherever they want to?
  9. These are actually pretty yummy :)
  10. Might a vet have some idea on how to deal with this? Is there some kind of free helpline you could phone - an equivalent of NHS Direct? Might the Celia Hammond people be able to advise you?
  11. El Mirto. Or something Mirto. Good food. Il Mirto? The only Italian I know is how to ask the way to a chemist/supermarket :))

  16. There's another thread about this somewhere. If they're aggressive and you're scared, phone the police. Take care.
  17. There's also several markets around this area on a Sunday, you could start off with Petticoat Lane early on, then move on to Spitalfields market. Then there's Brick Lane market, quite different to Spitalfields, plus some record shops, vintage clothes shops, another covered market and loads of food stalls around Dray Walk and the area at the top of it. Dray Walk is off Brick Lane. And of course if she likes curry you're spoiled for choice (as a change from Lordship Lane :) ) Easyish to get to the area from ED, 35 from Camberwell Green goes to Liverpool Street station and it's all a short walk from there, alternatively a 40 to Aldgate.
  18. Just too like my life, Woof :))
  19. DJKillaQueen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are they selling off the DVDs as well? xxxxxxxxxx Yes, all of them, sadly there was absolutely nothing in the whole place I wanted :))
  20. Thanks very much for this, it's all connected up properly with the loop cable in the right sockets, so as you say I think I am going to have to do away with the loop cable and have a direct connection to ANT2. A very kind forum member is coming over tomorrow morning to have a look and advise me, as I have absolutely no idea what or how to directly connect to the ANT2 socket :-$
  21. RosieH Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Also, maze in trafalgar square - I can't wait to > get in there. xxxxxxx You will be waiting a very long time to get in there if the queue is anything like it was on Tuesday afternoon :)) And you can't get in via the exit, because there's a security guard :))
  22. Just to say, when I went to Zandra Rhodes' fashion museum I was quite disappointed. It was much much smaller than I was expecting, and they had on a very boring exhibition which took up virtually all the available space. If you're thinking of going there, you might want to check out what's on first.
  23. I had an insurance claim for subsidence some years ago, which apparently was due to faulty drains which have now been fixed - but I have to stay with my original insurance company (who have hoicked up the premiums) because when I try to get other quotes, they always ask has there ever been subsidence, and as soon as I say yes, end of conversation. The fact that the cause of the subsidence has supposedly been fixed is neither here nor there for them :-S Re the trees, I have read that removing trees can sometimes cause even more problems.

  25. I was delighted when my daughter gave me her old PVR - it's a Topfield TF5800. However on some of the channels (including ITV and Channel 4) I am getting a message "no signal at Tuner 2". I have googled this and found this message "most likely" means that one of the tuners has not been connected, or the connection has come undone, so I have checked the connections, which seem OK. It then says I may have too low a signal level for the PVR to work reliably and the aerial may need adjusting to work correctly with digital television. I am getting some digital channels OK, but my TV aerial has been on the roof for over twenty years to the best of my knowledge, and I wonder if I need a different one? Has anybody else had a similar problem, and if so how did you solve it? Do I need to get an aerial specialist in, and if so can anybody recommend one locally? Thanks! I have a load of failed recordings of CBeebies :-$ and I am missing my fix of 3rd and Bird :-$
