:)) Just lie down quietly in a very very very quiet place :))
  4. Hey David, actually I do have some tins of potatoes in the loft, and a load of bottled water :)) That's as a result of the last official government warning :)) Sad, eh. Erm, where can I get a shotgun? And would that be to shoot people intent on stealing my tinned potatoes, or to shoot cats and squirrels with which to make a stew?? :)
  5. Emailing TfL (via their website) in my experience results in a "this email address is not known" message - presumably so they can claim they have had no complaints (td) But let's be fair, I can hardly blame them for the incident this morning!

  7. :)) That's comforting to know, Sean, a bit like cuddling a great big teddy bear whilst Rome burns or something :)

You're drunk, aren't you, Flappers. I'm psychic, me.
  12. Climate change, banks in meltdown, credit crunch (whatever that means) - are we all going to hell in a handcart? Or have I just had too much wine after a hard day at work? :)

  15. You got a publisher, Ted Max?? :)
  16. I haven't read this thread apart from the title, but I'd just like to say that in my opinion having grandkids is the best thing ever - all the cuteness and none of the sleepless nights :))
  17. Hey the Goose has a Hallowe'en night - e'en, even - at Hoopers the previous Friday :) Not that I'm taking any opportunity to promote our events, at all :) Siobhan Parr (aka Shivers) and Ain - both brilliant. And to get back on topic - for once, the Goose at Hoopers doesn't clash with the forum drinks, hurrah!!!!
  18. You bored at all, f??? ??? Edited to say, I mean ???? :))

Edited again to say: I believe Marie's only has Thai food in the evenings - during the day they're a "normal" greasy spoon.
  20. :)):)):)) Woof woof !!
  21. Which stopped for what seemed like hours at East Dulwich Station whilst awaiting police to evict a fare evader who refused to get off the bus ..... We got off/on/off/on whilst other (full) buses sailed past ...... or stopped to let a zillionth of the people on "our" bus on ..... Eventually a police van and car arrived, lights flashing, sirens screaming, hurtling down Dog Kennel Hill and screeching to a halt by the bus .... No wonder the response time isn't great if they send so many to one minor incident :-S And from a sod's law point of view, I'd got up early to get an early start at work, too :))
  22. I had liver and bacon there a few weeks back, as I hadn't had it for zillions of years. Absolutely delicious but, er, contained no bacon :) When I asked where the bacon was, after a bit of a wait, someone came and plonked down a side plate containing two rashers of bacon - no explanation, no apology :)) Couldn't be arsed to point out that liver and bacon is a dish in which the liver is cooked with the bacon ..... thereby imparting a tasty flavour to both ..... But shame the chef has left nonetheless, as it was very nice and I would have definitely eaten there again (have been less impressed with the roast in the past however - but maybe a different chef than the one who cooked Aced Out's roast .....).
  23. Don't know the Montpelier, but Hoopers is good :)
