  1. But anybody could just lie, surely?
  2. Happy days. What are they doing? Was there a leak? Again .....
  3. That's a massive space for a pub that isn't a Spoons! Do you know what pubco (?) it is? I'm guessing probably a chain rather than an independent, but I would dearly love to be wrong.
  4. Also the bus stop outside the Post Office was closed yesterday due to the works. I don't know if it still is, but I imagine so. It does clearly say it is closed, but I stupidly didn't notice until I had stood there for some time, so I'm just posting this in case it might save someone else a pointless wait!
  5. Is this the cat in the new post on here? Not sure if the white parts are the same.
  6. That is absolutely awful. Can you get a phone appointment to speak to the GP? I'd be absolutely furious if that was me, not to mention extremely worried. Hoping for a good outcome for you after what must be a really stressful time.
  7. Oh! My daughter told me that someone did all the jigsaws 😂 Maybe that's just in one shop she knows of (not in London) 😂
  8. I think somebody does them first to check that all the pieces are there!
  9. I shan't be going in unless I absolutely have to for some reason! And I am so snowed under with more time critical things that attempting to get any reasonable response from them is sadly way down my To Do list. I just feel sorry for all the other people who were overcharged. However, if they didn't notice a £12 overcharge on their receipt, probably they can afford to lose it 😵‍💫
  10. Eh? The till receipt showed the price they charged me, in this case if I remember correctly £24. As I said,it was a system error. If I had had a trolley load of shopping instead of just one item, as many people did, I might never have noticed. It should have been £12. The man on the till said "have you got a photo of the label on the shelf?" WTF? And then made me go right back across the store to get one. I have no idea whether he ever bothered to report the error. He had to input the correct price manually. And my ill health isn't obvious. It just made things more difficult for me.
  11. Oh no! I always thought it was a protected view as well. That's awful 😢
  12. Because if nobody complains, things don't get better. In the situation I complained about, there was an apparent system error which meant an item was being overcharged at the tills by, if memory serves, about £12. Plus I'm in my mid seventies and not in particularly good health, and was asked to walk back right across a very crowded store to take a picture of the price label on the shelf to prove to the assistant that I was being overcharged. I'm very sorry if you think I was complaining about nothing. I don't. I wonder how many people were overcharged that day by £12 and didn't notice because it was Christmas Eve, they were stressed with doing last minute shopping, and had so much in their trolleys that they didn't have time to notice the price being charged for each item on the till.
  13. Good idea, but a bit like writing to their Head Office, it's rather far down my list of priorities. Now I feel like I shouldn't be wasting (ooops I mean spending) time on here when I've got a very lengthy To Do list 😭
  14. What a lovely cat ❤️ I hope you find him soon.
  15. I imagine you would have been similarly annoyed if it had been you in that situation. I would. Don't bother complaining to Sainsbury's, Lynne. I complained to them by email after an incident in there on Christmas Eve, which I posted about on here at the time. I received an email back saying I would get a response within some time scale - I think it was three days. When the weeks went by without an answer (or even an apology) I phoned them up. The person said "Oh, you won't get an answer." Me: "????". Person: "The complaint will have been sent to the store to be dealt with there." Me: "So will I get an answer from the store?" Person: "No, they won't answer." Me: "So why was I told I would get a response within three days?" Person: Shrugs shoulders, I imagine. Me: "I'm not at all happy about this. How can I complain about not getting a response to my complaint?" (!!!!) Person: "You will have to write to Sainsbury's Head Office." Me: "OK. Please can I have a contact name and their email address?" Person: "Oh, you can't email them. You will have to write a letter and post it." So. I have an address. Needless to say, this has been languishing in my pile of things to do for weeks. Anybody would think Sainsbury's didn't want feedback, or indeed to be actually put to the trouble of having to deal with annoying customers who had had bad experiences in their stores I stopped using them for deliveries years ago after a similar lack of any smidgeon of customer care 😡 If I ever go in there now it's either as a last resort (as at Christmas) or to pick something up from Argos.
  16. Crikey, so it does ❤️ Good on John Lynch!
  17. When I lived in the country, there was one bus a WEEK to the nearest large town, in the morning, and one bus back in the afternoon of the same day. This was to enable people to do their weekly shop. Luckily, I had a car 🤣 I haven't had any issues with the 12. We are lucky that it starts at the top of Barry Road, so at least going in that direction it is easy to get a seat. Although if you are going further than Peckham it's quicker, as you say, to get another bus and change, because the 12 goes a very long way round to get to Camberwell Green and onwards from there ...
  18. I don't think anybody has been "bullying" anybody on this thread? I think people have generally just been stating facts about normal cat behaviour, and trying to be helpful? That's how I read the posts, anyway.
  19. I have never had an issue with medication being delayed in the post or delivered late. I don't know, but I think Royal Mail must treat it as priority. Obviously if you need something urgently - eg antibiotics - you would want to go immediately to a pharmacy, so Lloyds Direct wouldn't be appropriate. The only time I ever used Sogim, I had a terrible experience. I wouldn't willingly go there again. I can't remember the exact details, but if memory serves I was kept waiting for an extremely long time (maybe half an hour) for a prescription which just involved getting a packet of something off a shelf and putting it in a bag, while they served everybody else who came in after me. Perhaps they just don't have enough staff?
  20. I actually walked past the station yesterday (sadly without having the lightbulb with me!) There were several overflowing bins on the pavement, past the station entrance and heading downhill, but I couldn't see anything resembling an electrical recycling bin?
  21. It's very easy to change GPs. You just register with the new one. You don't have to tell the old one. Just make sure you are in their catchment area. I understand there are particular reasons why you want to stay where you are, but sometimes other factors might outweigh these? Good luck, I hope you get a good outcome soon x
  22. There are coffee machines in the Co-op???
  23. Thanks very much! I appreciate your taking the time to write all that! It's going to take me a while to get my head around it though 😂 I've still got Windows 10, and my laptop is too old to upgrade, but hopefully the steps you suggest shouldn't be too different.
