Hope you had a good day Red Devil, didn't see the United score-oh hang on, the only cup game you had was which one to use for the morning brew !!! http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy253/blue-nightingale/contest%20banners%20and%20images/wwwanimated-animationde_smiley_3d_gifs_animiert_gif_clip-art_icons_01_400x267.gif

Yet again I must refer you back to capacity. When we lent Maine Road to Manchester United (buggers still owe back rent), both City and United fans would go and stand together (as was the way back then as I'm sure AM and MM remember all too well) Going to football was a release and you went to watch the game more than tribal loyalty. I spend more time and devotion at Dulwich Hamlet and don't feel an ounce of guilt but am City at heart

Blogs ? Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust launches ?Stop StubHub? Posted by Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust 20th January 2014 Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust launches ?Stop StubHub? spurs3 The FSF opposes ?legalised touts? who are more concerned with making money than getting tickets into fans? hands at a reasonable price, so it?s great to see one of our affiliates launching a campaign on this issue. Find out more about Tottenham Hotspur Supporters? Trust's ?Stop StubHub? campaign below? Having received headline data on StubHub sales for the first six Premier League home games of this season, it is clear that the StubHub resale platform is pushing up the price of tickets to watch Tottenham Hotspur. The evidence provided shows that 91% of tickets are being sold above face value. At the two category A games included in the data, Chelsea and West Ham United, tickets were sold at an average price of 135% and 53% above face value respectively. These figures show that StubHub and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) are misguided to continue insisting that that the high prices shown on the StubHub platform do not equate to actual sales. The evidence is clear for all to see. A system in which 91% of tickets are being sold at above face value, and substantially more in a significant number of cases, is not one that supporters' organisations can back. We also believe the Club should be concerned at the fact that 19%, almost one-fifth, of season ticket holders have not been able to make one or more of the opening six league games of the season. We note the Club intend to make changes to ticketing T&Cs to prevent abuse of the ability to relist tickets on the StubHub platform, also known as ?flipping?. We are not confident that a fair and transparent method of identifying what is legitimate relisting and what is abusive relisting exists. The Club is, in our opinion, dealing with a symptom of the StubHub system, which it has willingly agreed to. We believe a ticket exchange should be a service to supporters, not a means of pushing up ticket prices or generating additional revenue. In support of the campaign against licensed ticket touts, the FSF said: "Fans already find ticket prices more than demanding enough. The introduction of an additional level of profiteering at our expense can only serve to price more fans out of the game, and must be resisted". We, therefore, call on THFC to end the partnership with StubHub at the earliest opportunity and, instead, to work with supporter groups, the FA and Premier League in their efforts to establish a genuine ticket exchange scheme that does not drive up prices or incentivise fans to exploit fellow fans. The FSF blog is the space to challenge perceived wisdom, entertain readers and inform our members. The views expressed are those of the author and they don't necessarily represent FSF policy and (pay attention journalists) shouldn't be attributed to the FSF. Times has a subscription fee, they generally post a free link for about an hour or so. United could be well and truly f*cked if they finish where they are or lower, struggling for Europa never mind CL. They have a mediocre team at best, without Rooney or RVP (Remember they had digs at Arsenal saying they were a 1 man team) they will suffer and struggle. Do I, as a 45 yr old Man City fan, want to see their collapse or, worse, total demise ? No, of course not but since the Glazers took over it has been a ticking bomb for my Red neighbours-reliant on success is not a good business model. As I said previously, MCFC have managed very high attendances even when in 3rd Division, could United sustain that ? Doubt it. Watched Leeds v Leicester last week and Elland Road (no not the Elland Road leading to Nunhead Allotments !!) used to be rammed, looked more like Parkheid about 2 dozen there (who says I only take the p*ss out United !!!)

as Alan has posted a paywall link this is pretty much the same article, but free http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/jan/14/manchester-united-share-price-david-moyes-premier-league sooner United can rid themselves of the Glazers the better for the club---sh*t I mean long live the Glazers, momentarily lapse

Not the case at all, nothing in that article says that Maine Road had a capacity of 35,000 City gates averaged 28,000 (even when in 3rd Division) after the Manchester Commonwealth games we moved into Etihad in 2003 (Eastlands or CoMS as we called it) and capacity was increased to just under 50,000 so of course there are more bums on seats. To increase capacity to 61,000 could be a big mistake unless safe standing is introduced. All seated stadia are not what football should be about, the atmosphere at Dulwich Hamlet is often better than OT,Emirates,WHL,Etihad etc. When OT expanded in 2006 (76,000) they, again, got more bums on seats but they struggle to fulfill that capacity week in week out. There needs to be a major reduction in ticket prices so average Joe can go regularly. I know I take the p*ss out of Red Devil/Laddy Muck but that's just banter, getting to a home game for us costs an absolute fortune, it's not exactly easy/cost effective to go to a London game either, I've budgeted ?80 for tomorrow at West Ham.

Virgil Van Dijk ? Nope, not heard that. Will admit that I don't read transfer speculation as I know "we" can make it up and press falls for it-can be very humourous to be honest. I wait on official news.

Tremendous play by Blackburn, really great sportsmanship in the face of defeat (didn't deserve a 5-0 drumming) Shame Newcastle weren't so gracious in defeat on Sunday

he'll get it all back if on PAYE, some agencies work through an offseas pay method, they charge 4% of net but get you ?5 per day food subsidy (cheaper to but rolls/meat from a supermarket and make your own) and 20% of travel costs. I worked out better of on PAYE so be aware of this
