I presume that was you who won the Fantasy football though, James? That's a bit of consolation!

As there appears to be at least a couple of Spurs fans amongst us, can anyone advise what is the best way to get to their new stadium from ED? I'm going to see the egg chasers on Saturday. I haven't been to Tottenham in about 30 years! Then it was quite a long walk from the tube if I remember correctly. I'd like to avoid that if possible.

I'm in but I need to do a bit of research I think........

Ha yes that was me in the Fantasy!

Enjoy the Spurs experience tomorrow - I am a season ticket holder there but a fairly large chap so have tried to fine tune my trips there of late to involve less walking!

I usually get the 185 to Vauxhall and then jump on the tube to seven sisters, then there are four diff buses (all ending in 9) that you can get from there straight to the ground, straight up the high road - although if you leave it too near kick off, they shut the road off (about two hours before) so you may have a bit of a walk (a lot do do the walk, but it is a good mile and a bit!). Would advise getting to seven sisters about three hours before ko if want to avoid the walk.

Another option is get train to London Bridge and tube to Liverpool Street (or bus to liverpool street) then train straight to white hart lane. these will run right up to kick off but involve a bit more walking.

  2. Gutted to miss out on the title in the end and fall down to fourth at the last! Thanks for running it - took me a while to get to grips with the format but came on strong in final few months. Look forward to next season!

Here here! The 63 is a great route (and not just because I've grown up with it..!).. I got it to Essex Road (near Islington) only yesterday, getting off at mount pleasant before cutting through... took me just over an hour and that was leaving at 8am, peckham roadworks et al...

  4. So there's me idlelly reading this forum over the last year or so, lamenting the seeming increase in break-ins/burglaries/thefts in the area when I come home yesterday to find our house had been broken into (we back onto Camberwell Old Cemetery, just off Forest Hill Road). They forced open the windows downstairs and went through a couple of the upstairs rooms but only seem to have taken a camera and some jewellery... Some kind witness saw a person jump from the upstairs bedroom windown and flee into the night, reporting it to the police...

Feels horrid that someone was in our house, going through our stuff, and now they know where everything is (computers, tv, etc) theres the fear they will come back...

Just want to let you all know to keep on your guard...
