Dear Silverfox I have suspicions that my husband is becoming bored with our wedding crockery and could be harbouring a secret desire for more 'exotic' styles instead. What can I do to regain his enthusiasm before its too late?

Forget women causing earthquakes - how do 3D glasses work and why is coffee so addictive? Just love FAKE science...... :) *takes off over-sized specs and hangs up white coat*

jenny1840 dear - I haven't set foot in the (Lord) Palmerston since I took my mum and her husband there about 10+ years ago (visiting a friend from ED) You sound more 'ED' than me TBH, I mean, do "they" 'do' salad in the Palmerston in 2010 then? *dying to know* **not really**

SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I somehow get the feeling that if bp aren't > careful the US government might help themselves to > it, > to off-set the amount of pollution cleaning costs > incurred. SteveT - there has already been controversy over this incident including [unsubstantiated] claims of sabotage. Not yet sure if BP were initially willing to pay the fishermen who incurred losses as they couldn't provide receipts for loss of earnings..... The Swiss drilling contractor has already publicly tried to limit liability to the operator for the rig explosion that claimed 11 lives. The operator has closed five production platforms in the GoM, losing many millions of euros. Canada is concerned about similar deep-water drilling operations in Arctic waters.

Questionnaire about your life in Dulwich

Ruffers yeah I agree with that - I have filled it in too. Good luck Sophie. -
Ladymuck Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > silverfox Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Errr ... anyone brave enough to pick Ladymuck > up > > on one or two points above? silverfox - I agree with Ladymuck. Difficult situation but well done for doing what you did. I lived in Asia for a number of years, its hard to turn your back to some things (not saying the West is perfect either). I certainly don't consider myself 'superior' in any way for having lived in the UK/Western society. I do find it exceptionally difficult to witness cruelty in any form, especially towards children and animals. > Don't you dare - I did state at the outset that > this topic was too complex for my brain.;-) Ladymuck, that is not true - your views are as valid as the next persons. Its clearly not too complex for you! > It's an excellent thread though DC. Agreed - very thought-provoking.

Oh RosieH - you have reminded me of a blast from the past, my nana had a rayburn (my mums family lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere - I'm sure those cookers would not have featured in countrylife magazine back then). St. John also do a good risotto milanese made with bone marrow (as it should be).

jaybee82 - funny topic! A few years ago I used to have a contact at work that I never got to meet in person. His name was 'Rob Storm'. So.......every time we spoke on the phone, I couldn't help but visualise him in a superhero costume :-S *imagines RS in extremely tight-fitting black lycra tights and leotard with a fluorescent yellow lightning bolt emblazoned across the chest* ps. Rob, if you're reading this. Sorry.

Failed BOP - not good news but understandably difficult manoeuvre to perform. BP must be saying goodbye to their profits!! I tried to load a photo of the main oil leak riser pipe with the remote vehicle in the background but it wouldn't let me do it on here.

Hi Mr Barber - thanks for explaining that. I think fixed term parliaments are a good idea, looking forward to hearing more about it. Think I need to get up to speed on electoral reform, esp AV, admit I don't know much about it. I hope the Libcon* coalition does work out, it will be interesting to watch. I am trying to feel positive about it... All the best, K *or should that be Condem....?

woofmarkthedog Wrote: > It was going fine, until I got to the bit where you > bake, y'know ( see below )" THAT BIT " > > Isn't that a bit dangerous ? Y-es it can be dangerous actually especially if you're trying to be good - its way too tempting if you follow those instructions. I hope this makes sense ;-)

Plaats de pepernoten in het midden van de oven Does this make more sense? (tu)

Malleymoo, reading your post made me feel really sad and I share your concerns. I hope that the St. Mungo's outreach team are able to help as Ratty suggested. Good luck with this.

Copy of Lib Dem coalition agreement with Tories
katie1997 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
MitchK Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I do think Europe will prove a difficult topic > though. I'm not so sure it will as Cameron should be able to bat off protests from the anti-Europe camp by citing appeasement of the Libdems. He might be able to steer a path that is very centre-right on Europe. Coalition both already agreed to no Euro according to this. -
James Barber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Attached is a copy of the negotiated agreement > between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats. > It is radical and progressive. Take a look and > tell me what you think. I haven't read it all yet but interesting to see five year fixed-term Parliaments in there, is this a first for our constitution? Or did it happen when we had a coalition during the war?
