  1. Hi MrsBP15 - congratulations! This thread is actually for Autumn 2014 babies, so we all have 5-6 month olds now! The administrator should start the Autumn 2015 bumps thread soon (I think it started around March/April last year) so I'd keep checking the forum. It's a really lovely idea and I've met some fab mums through this so do sign up once your bump thread is available. Best of luck with everything x
  2. Another recommendation for Ray (07927 239023) - contacted him because of the good reviews above. We needed decoration work done ASAP for my mother-in-law's flat. Ray fitted us in quickly, quoted a very reasonable price, was efficient, reliable, honest and very easy to deal with. Would highly recommend and will definitely use Ray again.
  3. Recommendation for Steve from Inclean services - 07941 344137. Prompt, friendly and good value. Steam cleaned our large sofa with great results.
  4. Contacted Robert on the basis of these great recommendations - we are looking for someone to refurb a bathroom urgently. He came round to look at the job and since then has not contacted us, or replied to our messages. It's so frustrating when people suggest they can take on a job and then disappear. At least have the courtesy to say "I can't do it any more". Particularly frustrating as it's really urgent.
  5. My mother-in-law has just moved into a flat on Denmark Hill and the bathroom is unusable. We need a good, reliable builder to do a bathroom refurb ASAP. Ideally starting this week or next, if possible. It's a small bathroom - they will need to rip out and replace a bath with overhead shower, sink and toilet. We can organize redecoration separately if that helps. I have already contacted a few people based on recommendations on the forum but have been let down by one (who came round and then went AWOL) and others don't have availability. Any recommendations welcome - or if you're interested in the job please PM me. Thanks!

  7. Hi Emma - a Saturday morning class would be ideal - I agree with Sherry that from 10am is probably the ideal slot for most people, although I'd be keen for any time from 10am through to 1/2pm. 8.30am is probably too early...
  8. An email list sounds like a great idea! I can't do weekdays, so hopefully we can fit in some weekend meet ups too x
  9. Hello. I'm expecting my first in late September and would love to meet other first timers and get some tips and info from the second (and third) timers! Dulcie x
  10. I'd second the recommendation for Tim from Constantia Flooring. Good value, excellent job and service - a pleasure to deal with. We found the carpet we wanted in the LLC showroom then Tim sourced it direct from the supplier.
