  1. I would say that at 22 week there is still plenty of time for the baby to turn. Some babies don't get into the right position until the very last second!! I would say, try not to worry for now. If he/she still hasn't turned by the 32 wk scan then think about things then. In the mean time, make sure you are not slouching backwards etc to encourage baby to move into the right position, sit on a birthing ball, scrub the floors!!
  2. This is happening to us too. My 20 month old started being sick in the car but not on buses etc. The doctor said tat there is no travel sickness medication licenced for under 2s. He recommended giving a dose of piriton 10 mins before travelling - this makes them drowsy so less likely to be sick. It works for us for short journeys but is no good for longer ones and I'm not happy about giving 2 doses (one for the journey there and 1 for the return journey). At the moment we just take spare clothes etc and I'm thinking of going back soon to see if they will prescribe something now she is closer to 2 years old. (It started at about 17/18 months for us too). Bizarrely it is not for all journeys but like you no pattern as to when she might be sick. I'd be interested in other replies too.
  3. We have one of these - it lasts until they are a toddler Fisher price infant to toddler rocker You should shop around thought for a cheaper one
  4. There's a bus from Camberwell that goes to South Kensington. I think it is the 436. It starts in Peckham if that's easier.
  5. The no 40 starts at the library/plough so if you get on there (outside Lloyds bank) you will definitely get a seat!
  6. I encountered one of these women recently. I didn't want the magazine as I had it already. She asked me to buy some baby milk so I went into Somerfield and bought her a couple of cartons of ready made formula. I too them back out to her and she said she didn't want them, she wanted me to buy her a tub of powder. If it were me in her situation I'd take any milk I could get for my baby. Cheeky cow! As it was I only had a bit of money on me and didn't have enough to buy her the powder Thinking back on it, you can get free milk vouchers for your baby, whatever your situation - definitely dodgy women!
  7. Yes to immunisation. If people stop immunising then these diseases are going to start becoming common again. If you have to do either then delay rather than not immunise. My daughter had all her jabs at the recommended times and she had no ill effects at all, oh I forgot, one time she had a slight temperature which was brought down with calpol. she has also had her BCG, with no ill effects.
  8. Hi, I second the tommee tippee freeflow ones - a bargain at ?1.50. You can also get supermarket own brand versions which are just as good. My daughter tends to chew the spout on her cup so I found one called tommee tippee tip it up cup, it also has Nuby brand written on it. This is clever because it is non spill but to get the liquid out the baby chews the spout and the chewing action lets the liquid flow out - they don't have to suck. I got it from Tesco for about ?3.50. They are also in Boots etc. They do them for a range of ages from 6 months right up to toddler. I started to introduce a cup from 6 months, along with weaning. She is now 10.5 months and only just taking to a cup! She is a boobie monster and anything else just wouldn't do!!
  9. I thought it was illegal to stop or complain about a woman breastfeeding in public? This is awful - poor woman!! I agree with pp above, surely spraying air freshener over someone is technically assault, if not, it is incredibly rude!
  10. The mamas and papas Pliko Switch can face either way and will fold with the seat attached. Also it will fold with the seat attached either way (a lot of them I know will only fold with the seat facing outwards, not parent facing) It is an umbrella fold, which means it is fairly compact when folded. The down side I would say is that it is quite heavy (about 10kg) but it is easy to carry folded as it has a handle. I love mine!!
  11. Oh yes, I have a jojo one and the slits are too small for my mega-boobs and also at the sides not at the front where they are needed!! Mamaway have massive 'holes' so accommodate all sizes of milk-engorged boobies!!
  12. Couldn't you borrow one for that 1 journey? Get someone to bring it in to hospital once baby is born and you are ready to come home. The first size seats normally have slits in them to strap the seatbelt round and ours has a diagram on to show you how to attach it.

  14. We've been taking our daughter from about 10 weeks. We go to Peckham, to the jelly babies sessions. Only stay in about 15-20 mins, but apart from that, have fun!! PS I don't think you need one of the neoprene swimsuits there as the water is very warm, my daughter just wears a swim nappy and a costume but other babies just wear swim nappies.
