  1. Hi Guys, hope everyone is well and keeping the spirit up and I dont mean just the drinking kind of spirit! Lol Fisrt of all I would like to thank you for all the support and jobs you have been sending Dave's way... we as small business really appreciate it! So on behalf of Dave I would like to update that in view of the new reinforced government guidelines Dave will only be able to work on jobs where he can be provided with the following. - he can be left alone in the space that needed working - in case of need to face to face catch up through the dayp Dave and the client will need to wear face masks. - Dave will be carring a thermometer and will be checking temperature as needed. - Dave will wear disposable plastic gloves to enter into any property for working. We are all in it together and we will see the end of this difficult time! Be safe! Raquel (Dave's better half!)
  2. Another fantastic review from Dave's client... "I would like to say how delighted I am with the work Dave recently did for us. He painted our entire house in Peckham Rye to an extremely high standard and completed the work on time. His eye for detail is excellent and he is a perfectionist. Our house has never looked so good ! On top of his very professional workmanship, Dave is just a great guy: honest, good humoured, kind and reliable. I would highly recommend him if you need a painter or decorator. Thank you Dave and Raquel x By Anna OShaughnessy" Source... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=136188394855347&id=104505538023633

  6. 1:2 ratio - oats to milk and then microwave for 2-3 minutes then more milk for a nice consistency a little butter, honey, sliced banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon... this will provide enough energy to keep them wake right through the morning... mine is a more boring and sad version!
  7. Agree with Ondine, messenger is our choice here too. Also prevent pickpocketing as bag is on the side rather then on the back.
  8. Sure it does, should have said roll it out rather then open (the dough up)... thanks for the advise!

  13. Child benefit is granted to the parent that lives with the child, if you live together it should not matter who gets it (assuming that the money is used correctly) but if you separate then the parent that the child lives with should have it. ELB - It is a lot to take in and consider at times like that. I do strongly advise you to keep record of all the changes you making, so you can see you are actively changing things for better (and also it helps you no to loose track of things) Best of luck!
  14. Wood Florring: You can sand it down if scratched or if it could do with apolishing! After that you can varnish it to bring give it a fresh look. You are very luck in finding it... No idea on point 2 & 3. All the best.

  23. Hi There, wondering is someone can give me some advise! I bought my ex council flat about 4 years ago, under leasehold terms and since then there have been quite a bit of work carried out on the building and I have dutifully paid for my share although some times stretching the money has proved to be a challenge! Yesterday I received a 3rd Stage Consultation for Major work from the Housing office and I was shocked as the work they now intend to carry on on the building will cost me over ?10K! Now... This kind of money as many will appreciate is not something you have burning on your back pocket... Unfortunately I simply haven't got it... even breaking it down on a 3 years interest free will mean I have over 3K per year to fork out! Can I refuse to pay on the basis I haven't got the funds or will I get into trouble? Bare in mind that as it is I would have to find an extra job to cover this cost.... Undoubtly the council will pay for all of the flats in the building that have given as house benefit... Thanks for any advise! 2nd time Mummy
