  1. I would like to recommend Ben Clifford who has done some gardening for me. He cut back suckers on a lime tree, pruned the privet and cleared overgrown raspberries and pruned raspberries and Blackberries. He is very thorough, hard working and pleasant. He has not got any horticulture qualifications but is teaching himself from books and the internet and has good ideas. He charges ?15 per hour which is 25% less than most other gardeners in the area as he is new to the business. He is a great choice for autumn garden maintenance and all the gardening jobs you planned to do in lockdown and didn?t get round to. Message me for his contact details.
  2. HI I am looking for recommendations for a building surveyor that can examine a crack in an interior wall and advise on repair. thanks Rachel
  3. HI I will be hosting an open Christmas lunch at my home in Herne Hill. If you know someone without plans for Christmas Day they would be very welcome so please send me a message.
  4. I have booked a local self defence instructor, Patrice of Urban Fit and Fearless [www.urbanfitandfearless.com] to run a private self defence class in East Dulwich from 2-4 on Saturday 25 November. There will be up to 8 participants and we have a couple of spare places. The class will be ?15 for 2 hours and will focus on skills that are particularly useful for women, though men are welcome too and one of my male friends is already signed up. Let me know if you are interested in coming along. It promises to be useful and fun

  8. HI AFE plumbing just fixed my tumble dryer when two other repairers on the forum said the repair would be a'nightmare job' and would involve the replacement of a large and expensive component. I am very happy with the repair and the price and would use them again.

  13. I had a fried mackerel butty at CodFellas in Peckham http://www.codfellas.com/home.html It was one of the nicest meals I have had from a chippy in a long time and very reasonably priced. The owner even threw in a few free chips to go with it. The new restaurant area is very smart and I would heartily recommend it.
