  1. I would also like yo recommend Oak Tree Nursery. My daughter enjoyed and loved her time at the nursery before leaving to start school. The staff were brilliant and as mentioned above, they are so warm towards all the children. They do a brilliant job and both my daughter and I were sad to leave :-( Mrs_P
  2. Oops forgot to say ... Congratulations by the way!! :))
  3. Hi Emma, Don't worry your little one will be fine. Just make sure you take enough milk, water, baby snacks, toys to keep baby happy. My daughter was 10 months old when we first flew and she slept for most of the flight 3 out of the 5 hours. A relative of mine at the time gave me some sound advice which was to give the baby 2.5 - 5ml calpol before boarding the plane because if they start to get ear pain upon take off they won't necessarily feel it as the calpol would have kicked in. Calpol sachets are the best for travelling. I've had a happy baby on all flights and she's now 3 and loves it every time we fly! Put it down to pre-empting a drama in an enclosed space and keeping baby happy! Good luck! :)
  4. Hi All, Has anyone had a Caterpillar Music party for their children? I would be interested to find out your views. Thanks! Mrs_P :)
  5. Hi snoopy28, From experience, I would say to still use the dummy, your son is still very young to go cold turkey. Your son will find it comforting when trying to sleep and also when teething or not feeling well so don't listen to anyone who says dummies are bad! My daughter slept soundly throughout the night from 3 1/2 months and she's 3 now and occasionally still has it for nap times only! Some might say that's bad but at the end of the day it's my decision - do what you think is right, there is no right or wrong. Tip: When your son gets a little older clip the dummy on his pyjamas with one of those dummy clips and sooner or later he will find the ribbon, pull on it and in goes the dummy - no more up and down, in and out of bed throughout the night. I had no choice, had to find a solution especially going back to work full time when my daughter was 10 months old! Hope you find this useful and good luck! Mrs_P
  6. Definitely the Gardens Surgery! They have always accommodated urgent appointments for my daughter even if I have sounded like a paranoid mum! Baby clinic is on Thursdays and the health visitors are fab, especially Penny. Give them a try.:-)
  7. Many thanks for this Fushia - will check it out. All I need is a couple of sessions a week, wish me luck! Mrs_P :)
  8. Hi All, I'm also new to all the pre-school/nursery topic of East Dulwich. I have a 2.5 year old daughter and would like her to attend a pre-school/nursery soon for a few sessions a week. Would someone be so kind in clarifying that there are two Puddleduck Nurseries: 1 on East Dulwich Road and the other in Ivydale Road - I'm confused! Does anyone know if they have waiting lists? Would be grateful for other pre-school/nursery suggestions - my location is Oakhurst Grove. Many thanks. :)
  9. Hi Tricia - that's great news about the nursery, thank you for posting that info. I will definitely be looking into it! Mrs_P :)
  10. Thank you samstopit. Is there a Puddleduck pre-school as well? I'm getting confused as I seem to be seeing both on the net and don't know what's what if you see what I mean! :-S
  11. Hi All, I'm new to The East Dulwich Forum so hello! :) I was wondering if someone could please give me the new address and info regardng the Puddleduck Nursery that use to be at the community centre. I have even tried Southwark Council as far as they have been informed the nursery is still at the community centre which is obviously wrong! I have sent an email to the Head Carol Bromley but am still yet to receive a response. Please help as I'm very interested in finding out more about the nursery. Thank you. Mrs_P
  12. Hi Pommie, I use to wash my daughters clothes with Ariel bio powder as it has the enzymes to get rid of the stains and then use to wash them again in the Fairy powder and softener so she didn't get skin reaction at young age. I never seemed to have a problem - even with carrot! Also as Candj mentioned Vanish which also works on the really stubborn stains! Good luck! Mrs_P.
