What about the coaches outside Alleyns School. They often have their engines running for long periods whilst stationary, especially in cold weather, although I believe they have been told not to.
One of the best and hardest things I did was to persuade my (now late) elderly father not to drive. He had had several near misses but still thought he was the excellent driver he had once been.
From the SE4 page posted on Facebook Chihuahua found on the corner of Brightling and Bexhill roads. No collar. We have bought him home. Does anyone know where he belongs? UPDATE Ok we have contacted Lewisham Council and are taking him to the depot in Wearside Road SE13 7EZ. He has been given a reference number of 5501661. Their phone numbers are 020 8314 6000 out of office hours or 020 8314 2098 in office hours. Hope it is yours.
Maybe best to change in Walworth Road as the 176 often stops just before Camberwell Green (by the Edwards bicycle shop) to change drivers. You do miss the chance of getting a 484 or 185 though.
Wha about encouraging the people behind that amazing useless vanity project the Garden Bridge to build the bridge over North Cross Road instead of over the Thames. An even better and more significant waste of public money that would knock the lamppost banner idea for six.
The banners in Peckham seem rather weatherworn. The Herne Hill ones are more attractive but neither would persuade me to shop somewhere. What I want is good value for money and interesting things in the shops.
I notice the banners in Herne Hill every time I pass through but they have not in any way encouraged me to shop in Herne Hill. I doubt banners in North Cross Road will make people shop there any more or less than they do now.
I have a feeling that the Salvation Army in Camberwell runs a scheme offering children's and babies' clothing and equipment to those in need. I saw a poster about it at our GP surgery.
