  1. Do tell me where please. The toothpaste I buy is up to ?3 elsewhere.
  2. I also love Poundland, especially for toothpaste etc.

I am surprised you cannot manage to get to the main Lordship Lane post office when you apparently always shopped at Iceland which was in the same parade of shops as the Post Office.
  4. Perhaps people who post that they have lost items or animals could let everyone know on here when they find them again.

Agreed, this shouldn't turn into a debate about whether cats should be allowed out unaccompanied.
  6. How is Gizmo progressing? Hope he is getting back to full health now.

A good idea but wouldn't this cause problems for people who need to use the lifts such as people with disabilities or with prams and pushchairs, bikes, etc.
  8. So pleased to read that Gizmo is home and that he should recover from his ordeal. It's great that the cat the man from Lordship Lane had found was indeed Gizmo. My husband said the man from Lordship Lane was apparently going around the area knocking on everyone's doors to try and find the cat's owner. What a lovely person.
  9. On Saturday afternoon when I was out a man knocked on our door and asked my husband if we had lost a gingr cat as he had found one in his garden on Lordship Lane. He thought it may have been attacked by a fox. My husband gave him the mobile number of Gizmo's owners in case it was Gizmo. Was it?
  10. Our own ginger cat has been going into 5 Beauval Road recently as this house is unoccupied and building works are taking place there. The builders seem to have all the doors and windows open when they are there. Could Gizmo be trapped inside? I haven't noticed the builders working there for some days now and the house seems to be shut up. Worth your checking? I do hope you soon find Gizmo who we know well. He is a lovely friendly cat.
  11. Apparently a van with seven dogs inside was stolen in Hendon. The work of the same gang maybe? Apparently all these dogs have been found.
  12. Hope the mail you are waiting for arrives quickly.
  13. Yes, we have had post as normal.
  14. Some good wedding ideas to save money in The Guardian "money" section today.
  15. Great news. Thanks for letting everyone know.
  16. Oh I am so pleased to read this. You did so very well to track down the owner. They must be pleased to have him home.
  17. Oh dear, I wonder if you can let all the local vets and animal rescues have details in case they have been contacted by the owner. It was very good of you to take it to see if it had a microchip.
  18. Pickle your puss is a wuzz
  19. You could even borrow a cat or borrow and put a used cat litter tray in your home. Apparently the smell of cat were will encourage mice to go and live elsewhere. We have two cats and don't have mice.
  20. If a CPZ is introduced won't people with large enough front gardens apply for dropped curbs and then turn their garden into their car park making the area less attractive, less likely to attract bees and wildlife as there would be less plants and also less room for rainwater to drain away.
  21. I still see local cats out at night. I don't know whose cats they are so I can't suggest to their owners that they are kept in after dark. Please can everyone try to ensure that neighbours with pets are aware of what is happening.
